It's been almost three years since I organised a trip for Not606 Forum members to visit Juddmonte and Darley in Newmarket to see the stallions and behind the scenes in the breeding business. Whilst I can't guarantee it, I'd aim to at least do Juddmonte and Darley again, and maybe one other stud if we could fit it in.

Is there sufficient interest for me to organise something similar again? I'm thinking mid to late September, or possible November, to deconflict with the yearling sales season in October and early December. It would also have to be mid-week as the studs don't allow visitors at weekends.

It would have to be a first come first served basis and we'd have to limit numbers to no more than a minibus full, like last time.

If you are interested can you post on this thread and I will start looking into the practicalities.

Yes please. Myself and Amanda. Not too sure about November though at present.
 
How long before you know the dates Princess? Amanda has a job in a restaurant and will need to give them as much notice as possible when she won't be available.
 
I'll look at my diary and put forward a few dates and see what suits everyone best.

Princess, it was not until you mentioned it that I realised that it was nearly three years ago. How time flies.

Both Darley and Juddmonte have added a few new friends to their rosters plus we have seen a few of the offspring of the ‘new boys’ of three years ago.

Only two dates that I cannot do (as it stands) – 20th September and 2nd November; two birthdays that I would be executed for missing – now you know how to keep me away!
 
You can put the "chains" back in the cellar, QMII, you're not that bad. When you are there, just 'listen" lad, just "listen". Only joshing you, have a memorable and enjoyable visit if you can schedule it´.

Hope this new stud visit works out for Princess and fellow members, and I hope all taking part have a great day. Certainly wish I could be there, but unfortunately it cannot be. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Not a huge amount of interest so far! I'm looking for a group of around 10-15 to make it worthwhile so please do put your name down if you are interested as I'm going to have to organise it in the next week or so.
 
Sadly due to lack of interest I am going to have to call this off for now. Maybe we can try again at some point in the future.

Is there an Unlike button <laugh> no worries Princess I was so looking forward to it but not to be! Next time I have a friend that said he would love to come too! true racing fanatic too!!

But thanks again for taking time out to try and organise it!
