You have to assume that anyone interviewed is on a confidentiality clause considering the lack of comment by the candidates. I'm also a bit surprised that some haven't withdrawn their application (including Zola and Phelan) when it seems clear the Allams are pursuing Coleman more enthusiastically. The process is either very clever by keeping every option on the hook waiting, or it's meandering to the next possibility each time because people are dropping out without being able to reveal they have.
I think its slightly different, the candidates are interviewed then turn us down (lack of funds, dont want to be a coach only, not allowed to select who club brings in, speak to Brucey), however been professional and having self respect they choose not to comment, or privacy agreement signed pre interview. either way I think we have been turned down by prospective managers rather then not finding a suitable candidate
Monday now, nothing ever happens on a weekend. Do you not find it odd that they release loads of stories about us appointing a manager during the week and then literally nothing happens Saturday/Sunday? Why do we stop for two days?
Nowt's happening. Today, Monday or anytime next week. It really does look as though the Allams are going to take the money and run.
Im sure they said 'within 24 hours' on Monday.... But then we all know how long 24 hours is in Allam world.
I really believe that people are either made up or turning us down, The Allams are delusional and probably believe that working for them is a good deal...Worse of all as the Yanks have walked I see them staying as owners but never turning up therefore any protests are directed at no one..They will tighten the budget and drip the cash out.....
It's going to be Phelan. Because he's already here and has no money to spend. A new manager will want transfer funds. Which is probably the sticking point on a lot of deals.
