Hola amigos!

In less than two weeks we'll be picking up our first 3 points of the season away at Goodison Park (<:D>). So what are we all predicting this year? Will Leicester repeat their incredible feat or will someone else steal the limelight this time around? Will Pep, Jose and Conte with their multi million pound assembled squads be back at the top? Who's in for a season of misery and getting a ticket to the Championship?

Edit: Manager - Pochettino. He has no right to be competing with the moneybags around (and of course, he may not) but if gets us top 4, then he is a genius.

I agree Dier won't get POTY for the reason SOS says - it's usually a striker, so Ibra will probably get that too. Stick with Dier for YPOTY though, I think he'll have a major season (as will Lamela!).

Dier's a great shout for the awards, my only worry is that players often vote based on goals, most Leicester fans said Kante was POTS but Mahrez got the award as he grabbed the headlines.

You know I was tinkering with the idea of Soton being relegated, yet again they've lost key figures, there's only so many times you can replace quality immediately.

Have a bit of sympathy towards Hull, mainly because of the ex-Spurs trio but Allam really has turned them into a circus. Think they'll be in for a horrendous season, potentially Derby-esque.
 
Its a tricky one this year with so many unknowns, especially at the top. United will probably have a Mourinho-led resurgence in his 1st year, Arsenal will be there and there abouts and potentially more if they spend money well for the rest of the window, City and Chelsea will likely be strong but who knows how long it'll take the new managers and signings to settle down, and Leicester of course will have lost a few key players from last season but will teams be able to work them out this season? Then there is Klopp at Liverpool, Koeman at Everton, West Ham could be in the mixer too.

Surprise team of the season: Boro, Burnley and Bournemouth are all candidates for this IMO, though the latter isn't too brave a call
Signing of the season: Kante
Champions League: Athletico Madrid, Real Madrid or Juve. I'll plump for the Italians, driven on by Paulo Dybala
Europa League: I think Sevilla might make it a hat-trick dropping in from the CL spots again

New category - Manager of the Season: Conte is a great fit for Chelsea and if he wins the League with them then he'll get this one.

Surely the Hullspurs will be getting some player loans from the mother club this season
to help them avoid relegation ?? :)

Have they got a permanent manager appointed yet? Could be that we're waiting to see who they appoint before we loan any players out. From a purely selfish point of view, with the right manager at Hull and if it's right given the circumstances for our squad, Hull could be a great platform for the likes of Pritchard, Yedlin, Winks, Onomah, Ball and CCV to get serious PL gametime under their belts.

Indeed.

Hopefully the Sunderland rapport will continue as is.
Would also be nice to get loan rapport going again with Swansea. And perhaps Bournemouth.

Similarly for QPR and Villa in the league below.
 
I can see CCV and Onomah being kept, especially Onomah who I'd now consider a first team squad player. Depending on what happens with CM positions (Mason? Bentaleb? Carroll) Winks might be kept but I'd rather he get a loan and a full season of games if we're not clearing out too many from central midfield. If Trippier is sold (which I hope not) then Yedlin will be the competition for Walker. Ball could definitely do with a loan, I think it may have to be Championship though, I doubt a Prem side would be interested just yet. Seeing as Pritchard is up for sale, whichever side do end up getting him will have a very promising player on their books.

As would I, Spurf, as would I.

I think City will be strong under Pep and probably favourites for the league but I still don't worry about Utd (jinxing it now knowing my luck!), despite some good signings they still have a bunch of players who I think are way below the typical Utd standard, along with guys past their best.
