Depends if its the last packet of Monster Munch left in the world... But yes, transfers have gone crazy now and it's annoying that manure are breaking the £100m sealing on a player clearly not worth anywhere near that. Don't get me wrong he is quality but he isn't some super player like Messi that can score you over a goal a game in the league. But alas we'll have to pay more for players now, this is something Wenger has to come to grips with unless he magically finds another Anelka or Fabregas.
Well there we are - Steve Nicol has told us all... http://www.squawka.com/news/steve-nicol-arsenal-should-sign-jonny-evans-over-shkodran-mustafi/737731 We should be signing Jonny Evans as Merts replacement!
Looks like the title is City's now, they've just signed Brazilian player Jesus: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36964045
Decided theres only 3 possible ways Arsenal could win me back this transfer window 1.) apologize to fans and admitting they should be signing more players 2.) actually signing lacazette mustafi and mahrez 3.) sign Will Grigg.
Mahrez has agreed to join Arsenal according to this article http://www.lebuteur.com/article/det...cord-pour-la-prolongation-de-contrat&id=55837
Hope its true. But we are in for a verbal battering from the media if Wenger ends up signing two 'midfielders' and no out and out striker.
It's hardly the most reliable of sources is it? It's incredible that we started the season needing a Striker, a DM and to offload a load of players and potentially upgrade on them, and we are a few weeks from the start of the season and we now need a Striker, a AM, a CB and we still need to offload players like Szczesny, Debuchy and Theo...
Yep. There's still a way to go in the transfer window yet. But you can't help thinking we've been here before ... several times !
All signs are pointing down to last minute deals. I think Wenger and co are seeing the crazy fees and will try and get more sensible fees around deadline day. As long as they get a credible CF and CB then that should be ok.
Considering the money being jizzed about these days then £13.4 m for Chezzers seems very cheap for what is a good player. Not sure how long he has left on his contract but surely we could have wrangled more. Unless, of course, we had a verbal agreement to be nice to Roma after they took Gervinho off our hands...
Gervinho did very well for Roma tbf, and didn't they get a tidy sum off him when he went to China? I know what you mean about Chezzers price being cheap, but I suppose we are desperate to get rid of him as we can't go into the season with 3 keepers wanting to be 1st choice or we'll have a really unhappy changing room.
Szseszny is not a great goalkeeper. He's calamitous and hasn't improved since he turned 20. £13.4m for a goalkeeper of his standard is a rip-off.
