I'm not sure everyone thought Redmond was great last time we were in the championship, but even if you think he was he clearly couldn't have made the make the step up to a PL title challenging team. So why would we expect youngsters who did ok, but not fantastic in league 1 to step up to play a key role in a team challenging for championship promotion space. Anyway the championship has moved on considerably since we were last in it and I'm not convinced we have.

Canos and Josh both played a full season in the Championship last year, with 14 goals between them and Josh winning PotS for MK Dons. They'll get their chances and possibly Jacob as well.

Turner started 11 games for SW last year which is not bad for a back-up CB (or 5th CB in our case).

This is right IMO. AN likes a lone striker who can either score himself or lay the ball off. I doubt many opposition defenses will fancy their chances with Pritchard, Hoolahan and Naismith piling in on them behind Jerome or even Lafferty while Olsson and Pinto provide the width. That worked a treat two years ago in this league and Jerome (and to a lesser extent, Lafferty) are very adept at it and Pritchard, Hoolahan and Naismith will provide better options than we had back then. Canos and the Murphys provide alternative options as well, especially using their pace when they come on as 'impact subs'. A 5-man midfield will also allow City to dominate possession and control games much of the time.

Agree Rick - one thing you can say about Pritchard is that he holds the ball and uses it well - something our midfield hasn't done too well for a while. Can't wait to see him play.

I doubt the problem was our side. Its very obvious mccormack (or his family) had very little interest living in the sticks. Norwich fans dramatically underestimate how hard it is to sell the city and the area. Its sleepyville, the end of the line..... Its a very small place to spend 3 years, I'm 58 and I wouldn't fancy it.....
And you think a hole like Brum is an attraction?, to be fair he has lived in London for a few seasons so he don't have high standards

So pleased this one did not happen never saw him being the team player we need, people would have expected him to be another Holty at that money and he ain't good enough to tie that mans boot laces !

Fulham is actually quite nice if you have £5m spare to spend on a house.
"He don't have high standards " living in London ?

Josh won players player and Canos was never one of our youngsters. Canos scored 7 Championship goals in 38 games, Murphy 4 in 29 games. But the original point was that 1950 felt our youngster (Murphy x 2, Godfrey, Tofolo, Morris etc.) had earn a prolong run in the team, not the squad. Whilst I accept that during the course of the season if they are not to go out on loan then they should get a chance, it should be for the odd game here and there or from the bench and if they are to get more time they need to take their chances when they come along. I really can't see how anyone can believe that any of our youngsters will play a prominent role in a championship promotion challenging team. We'll be lucky if we get one decent top of the championship table quality player from our current crop of youngsters. Tofolo probably has the best chance of making it into the team on a regular biases and only because we lack sufficient depth at LB. Personally I would put Canos & Maddison ahead of our home grown youngsters and I would hope over the course of the season one of them would break into the starting 11.

If I was a footballer I swear I'd spend every transfer window randomly following and unfollowing clubs and players at will, purely to **** with the press. I want to see Aguero follow the entire AFC Wimbledon squad and make some cryptic tweet about moving, just to see if he can generate back-page headlines.

There are no eateries in London as good as the Chip Inn Longstratton either
We're blessed up here in crabville to have a chippy co-owned by Galton Blackiston, celebrity chef and owner of Morston Hall - a very exclusive hipster dining joint ....in Morston, funnily enough.
Near Blakeney, for non natives <ok>
