Very happy to see the Pritchard story when I got in, although, we managed to fuff up the McCormack deal when it looked done. so I wont hold my breath just yet.

Looks like you may have got your wish then of a couple of days ago then FML !!!!
I mentioned Pritchard a couple of months ago, but yes. I'd be extremely happy with him on our books, I really like this player, and definitely could become a Premiership regular type player in future.

Sorry RBF, no disrespect but the most polite word I can use here is 'naive'. Football has moved on from leather balls, muddy pitches and jumpers for goalposts. The only way a club like ours could ever hope to compete at the top level is with major inward investment. All this building for the future with youth bollocks means is you become a feeder club for one of the big boys. As long as Delia clings to power the most we can hope for is more of the same and that's what pisses me off !
What power? According to all reliable reports she has nothing to do with the running of the Club apart from attending Board meetings. McNally, and Moxey when he comes, set the budgets, they are signed off by the Board and the day to day affairs are then left to the Chief Exec and the Manager. Delia saved our Club from extinction and without her you wouldn't have a Club to moan about. She would sell to someone who would look after the Club but not to someone who would just make empty promises. She has seen what has happened to a lot of Clubs who, under pressure from Supporters, sold to people who promised the earth and delivered nothing apart from financial ruin. If you want that risk try to contact Sir P Greed or the bloke he sold BHS to - they must be looking for another company to plunder and asset strip. What would Colney be worth for housing Sir P? A few backhanders here and there and who knows what you can achieve?

I don't think the Murphy's Godfrey Toffolo or Maddison would be playing as strikers or centre back and we need another one of each at least .
Selective reading my friend!! I did say ' etc ' which would include Morris and I thought Godfrey was being touted as a future CB? What about the Murphys, Toffolo and Maddison if we buy Pritchard and keep/replace Olsson and Brady?

She has power alright mark my words, it's her club and she surrounds herself with her cronies the latest being Ed Ballsup. Feck me she even appointed her nephew onto the board, you might be happy with OUR club treading water but many of us have ambitions far greater. Yeah, yeah she saved the club, yadda, yadda, yadda and believe it or not I AM grateful for that but there comes a time when everyone has been somewhere too long. Our board comprises a 70+ year old Ex celebrity cook, her husband, her nephew, her leftie bestie Ed and no doubt even the tea lady is related to her.

Morris up front and Godfrey may play centre back ?
Silly me we're good to go then without wasting any money on new players.
Michael Owen and Rio Ferdinand were good enough at that age after all.

As you say - if you buy new players and then give the youngsters a chance instead then you are wasting money. Clearly you don't want the youngsters given a chance - I don't agree but at least you are being honest.

If Jerome gets injured and Lafferty throws in a transfer request we have Morris up front for our title push unless he goes out on loan then we have etc as the lone striker.
Seems bizzare that you think 1 recognised striker is sufficient.

Her favourite young Chef is in charge of catering but that doesn't mean he picks the team. She is the majority shareholder but that doesn't mean she interferes in the day to day running of the Club. Ed Balls has no more power than Bowkett had and her nephew replaced another one of her croonies - as you call them. I suspect your problem is not with the composition of the Board but their politics. The day to day ' power ' at the Club rests with the Chief Exec and the Manager and the Board would only get involved if they wanted to exceed the agreed budget or something similar. The Board we have will not take risks with the financial viability of the Club and quite rightly so.

You are right I don't agree with her politics and champagne socialists are the worst kind, however it has nothing to do with why I shall rejoice when she finally calls it a day and relinquishes ownership. We'll just have to agree to disagree here 1950, I have ambitions for this great club and those ambitions are being hampered by our board and owners.

Just out of interest, would you be really happy if an Chinese investor took over? With the risk of either doing things right like Man City or Bournemouth type investment, or going the way of Cardiff and Fulham. 50/50 risk.

Or are you just after a local business man investing a little money, but just taking the club away from the board you hate? I don't know from your calls for them to sell up whether you want the risky multi millions to compete with (it seems) everyone else. Or stay the kind of club we are, but with a different board?

If you read my original post you will see that I was referring to the suggestion that we needed 2 new strikers which would leave us with 4 established strikers when AN prefers a system playing just 1 up top. How would Morris get a chance? I stand by my original point. If you have 2 or 3 senior players covering every position on the pitch it is not compatible with ' giving youngsters a chance ' and I want to see the youngsters given that chance. You don't so we will have to just disagree on that.

All I ask is for professionalism, mind you I would take odds of 50/50 because if that gamble paid off .........
