It will cost considerably more to replace Ollsson than £3.5m and with a week until the season starts not a good idea to start scouring Europe for a replacement.
Well if we start scouring Europe for replacements again, someone from our youth team is a shoe-in...

Evidently WBA now interested in signing Brady, the more the merrier as it will help to push the fee up. In any event, Brady's sale needs to finance the McCormack deal and provide us with plenty of loose change IMO

AN said that Brady has a calf injury that goes back to the end of last season. It wasn't much in evidence at the Euros, so it could be similar to the 'injury' that McCormack is currently suffering from. I still think Brady will leave, hopefully for around £15m at least to cover the McCormack transfer and hopefully help provide for a few more coming in. AN has said that there has been no contact about Mulumbu but that Odjidja-Ofoe was left out because of interest from Legia Warsaw and also that 'at least one' more player will be in this week. That's most likely to be McCormack, but let's hope for more as well.

What is it with the McCormack and Brady saga's? Both of these transfers have been in the media for weeks and nothing seems to be happening? Is there a plan B? First time I have heard of 'injury' to either player - what have I missed?

Brady has an injury which manifests itself during the grind of championship football.
Miraculously, however, it resolves itself for major international tournaments! <yikes> :emoticon-0112-wonde
I guess his absence last weekend was a smoke screen to avoid further injury, suggesting he'll be out the door soon enough.
Whether anyone will arrive in his place remains to be seen - this is NCFC, doing things the slow, laborious languid way, after all <ok>

Looks like Vadis' stint as a Canary will soon be over. Vital Norwich have this quote from Neil post-Hannover:

"Vadis will probably resolve itself in the next few days. He wasn't involved to safeguard him in case he picked up an injury and he is going to be moving on."

Meanwhile there's been no contact over Mulumbu apparently.

Shame to see Vadis go without being able to showcase the talent he clearly has, but equally we need to trim the fat off the wage bill and I suspect his wages aren't small for his limited contribution. He's a long way down the pecking order, and it might free up wages for more business.

My view on McCormack. He´s too old and too expensive, and if he really is, as Ian Holloway suggests, the best player outside of the Premier League, then why haven´t more clubs been in for him, in a serious way. It also looks like we´re going to have to sell Brady in order to get him, and that seems like a poor deal to me. I say pull out while we still can, and perhaps up our earlier offer for Assambalonga, who in my view would be a far better long term option.

Can't really argue with that RBF, but it seems to be as good as 'a done deal'. I agree that we would be worse off if we lost Brady, but if he stays, then I hope AN doesn't see the need to play him at LB any time!!!

Where has all this 'we have to sell Brady to afford McCormack' stuff come from? We have parachute payments for coming down, we've brought in McGovern on a free and Canos for sub £3m. I imagine the fee for McCormack would pretty much cancel out the money we were given for Redmond. So the balance sheet is at -£3m.

It's not a case of having McCormack or Brady. Brady is either injured (highly dubious) or has told AN he wants a move, cant blame him with Leicester and West Ham supposedly interested, and £20m for a player we played £7m for last season would be a great sale for us.

Just seen this from Michael Bailey. I assume it's for Olsson, but then knowing how they've been ostensibly 'gifted' a free stadium, maybe they expect Brady too for that derisory price? <grr>

Just flashing up on the SSN yellow bar - £3m bid from West Ham reportedly rejected by @NorwichCityFC. @pinkun

Not only that Cromer - West Ham owners are free to cash in on Olympic Stadium deal.
If you want to 'read all about it, you can here - http://www.cityam.com/246554/revealed-west-ham-owners-free-cash-olympic-stadium-deal

Vadis is virtually gone then.

“Vadis will probably resolve itself in the next few days. He wasn’t involved to safeguard him in case he picked up an injury, and he is going to be moving on.”

Vadis is virtually gone then.
Mbokani, Redmond and O'Neil long gone, Vadis and Mulumbu free to find other clubs, Brady when rather than if, Olsson subject to a derisory approach from "we got a free stadium, now we want free players" Wet Shambles.
Never mind not winning anything with kids, at this rate that's soon all we'll have left at the club <yikes>

I was told that we don't receive the Sky money until September apparently and with DM gambling on Red instead of Black in January, we are having to sell before we buy and before we sold Redmond, we didn't have a pot to p*** in.

We've either received PL money or parachute payments for what 5 seasons? No external debt to service. Very little net spend on players. I would contend that were to elect to piss in a pot we could afford a very nice one indeed.

Player's Wages and ridiculous bonus payments for getting promotion have left us with a lot less money then people think.
