Who plays the better style from what you've seen, Bruce or Martinez?

Surely he could only answer that if he'd watched a Bruce team 30+ times a season?

    I don't watch Hull mate so I can't comment.

Style is determined by what you have at your disposal, or rather it should be. Martinez will try and impose his style on players who just don't have the ball playing ability.

If he does come to the KC, get used to watching with your fist in your mouth as the CB's and keeper dick around with the ball and are pressed by the opposition.

Quite good by Everton standards. You're not even the best team in your City.

    Yawn.

We were top 6 regulars under Moyes and had been for years.

Martinez under achieved at Goodison, hence the reason he was unceremoniously launched into a skip.

I don't see how any manager can realistically accept the role with any degree of respect and integrity unless the Allams state in confidence they are staying! Any new owner may have their own view as to who they wish to manage the club, as such any new appointment may last nothing more than a few weeks if the September time line to re-commence any negotiations over a sale have any merit

Phelan to 'hold the fort' in the meantime for me

I know a Wigan ST holder who liked Martinez as manager. Can't all be bad? You usually find fans are critical when they have unrealistic expectations of what their club should achieve. I lived with an Everton fan at Uni for 3 years (RIP mate) and never saw Everton as more than a mid table team - certainly over the last 20 years.

Martinez win ratio at Everton = 42%. Exactly the same as Moyes.

I'd guess about 20%, although to sure what the relevance is.

What were Bruce and Martinez's respective win ratios at Wigan?

Edit - just found this. I thought this part was of particular interest:

Let’s get a few stats out of the way nice and early. Martinez has a win percentage of just 26.77% at Wigan, winning only 34 of his 127 games in charge and losing 57. In his three seasons at the club, they have finished 16th, 16th and 15th finishing with 36, 42 and 43 points respectively.

It’s often made out that Martinez has done a great job of keeping the club in the Premier League, but the season before he took over, they finished 11th under Steve Bruce and 14th the year before that and the new Hull City boss boasts a significantly better win percentage of of 33.82% over 68 games, winning 23 games – not too far off Martinez’s total in almost half the amount of games.
