25 man squad and general thinking is you have 2 for each position. Assuming we're playing 4231 have the following who you'd class as being in the squad GK Karius Mig Manninger LB Moreno RB Clyne Gomez Wisdom CB x 2 Sakho Matip Lovren Ragnar Ilori CM x 2 Can Grujic Hendo Milner Allen Alberto Lucas LW/RW Mane Lallana Ojo AM Cout Firm Wijnaldum CF Sturridge Origi Ings Benteke Balotelli Red assume will be on there way. Suggests to me that GK, CB & RB are fine possibly with Wisdom moving on. LB is obviously an issue in terms of numbers let alone quality. CM looks high for numbers and a bit low on quality. All the players there can do a job but a bit similar there, no real variety. RW/LW does look a bit short. Mane is good and Ojo looks promising but Lalalana isn't really a wide player and although Cout/Firm/Wij could play there not natural. CF is very high for numbers If all those in red are moved on leaves us with a squad of 23 for a campaign including no Europe which is fine.
Does a job and by all accounts is brilliant for morale. Will organise a defence will just struggle to play all year, but in Scottish Prem might be able to play a bit more as level isn't quite as intense. For a freebie he has another year in him at that level I think.
He's a good player who is prone to the odd mistake, age is the problem he's about 45 years old I think.
We need a proper LB, simple as that. It's just plain daft to think we can see things that Klopp can't so I'm sure he's on it. We don't always know what's going on behind the scenes so we might be pleasantly surprised, on the other hand it just might be that there's nobody available, and there's not much we can do about that. If he is all we have as first choice Bert will cost us points, I'm afraid.
i wouldn't be surprised to see us play 433 with Origi and Mane either side of Studge or Ings . Not convinced at all about the FB's the only one i trust right now is Clyne as we have no idea of how Gomez is in terms of fitness following the injury.
Yeah, I'm sure we will sign a LB sooner rather than later. There is still about 5 weeks till the window closes and, as you say, Klopp must be on this
Well what started this today, though I didn't post the link, was an article in the Mirror saying he's about to sign a new contract at Spurs.

He's the Leicester player? Edit: Just checked, yes there is news of him signing a new contract with Leicester.
MAHREZ SET FOR ARSENAL? Riyad Mahrez has agreed to join Arsenal from Leicester City in a 50million euro (£41.8m) move, according to Eurosport in France. Claudio Ranieri had said earlier in the week that the 25-year-old PFA Player of the Year was happy at the King Power Stadium, but it now looks as though he may be set to lose another of his star men following N'Golo Kante's departure to Chelsea.
Reported Liverpool target Jordan Amavi will 'definitely stay' at Aston Villa, according to their owner, @Dr_TonyXia. #lfc
Excellent player to have in the squad. I wanted to keep him purely for dressing room hugs. Our best player in the Europa final. Not too much left in the tank, although should be excellent in such a ****e league as the SPL.
Why move Clyne over when Flanno's best season for us was at LB? Edit: irrelevant really since its likely Flanno will be playing elsewhere this season.
