Got nothing to do with money or what owners , new and old , are " Legally required " to say or show toward the " Trust " .....it's got to do with respect for the people they are dealing with .
If it wasn't for these people in the trust who invested in the club they loved and knew they would never see their money again , along with the other investors ( who are making a bundle now ) Swansea would never be in a position now to maybe bid 13 million on Allen and more than that on new strikers .
And for me , if the trust should sell their shares , and like some one else said on here , they should spend that money on " Grass Roots " projects .
Let the new investors " Invest " in Liberty and expansion and such ......the trust has been sh:t on and advantaged enough by new and old owners alike .
EVERYONE. , including new and old owners owe a massive thanks to the people who threw their money at the clubs precarious position in the past , knowing full well their money was investment toward the club without return .

Yes a massive thanks, but they are irrelevant now! We have to move on from this now, the shares can be sold to people who actually want to invest new money into the club, as in offering season ticket holders and others a chance to buy the 21% they own. That means they invest into the club that increases the value of their shares almost immediately.

It will mean that the club has money to buy the stadium, and expansion, it will also mean more money will be available for playing staff and other things like training facilities. By the way I'm a member of the trust and have been for years, but I'm for them going now

I do see your point, but it does depend on what is done with the money gained from the sale, could just as well go in someone's pocket

The whole " Swansea Story " is partially due to these people of the trust and they will never be irrelevant or in the slightest be forgotten by me .
Like I 've said recently , we've lost our uniqueness now and we are just one amoungst many teams now ... Was great while the uniqueness lasted .

Well agreements would need to be put in place, for example if we can guarantee money would have to be spent thus it will be a huge benefit for everyone, for example on expansion people can get seats to watch the team play

I'm part of that story even now, I pay to be a member of the trust and have done for as I said years. It's not a case of being forgotten it's a case of if they are relevant now.

All this talk of investment makes me laugh. Does anyone think we are ever going to compete on a level playing field financially with the likes of Man U, Man City etc. All we can do is keep ticking over and survive in mid table.

Do you think I care? It's my opinion! And I'm entitled to that, it's my opinion that the trust is now irrelevant, they cannot stop anything happening at the club as they are out voted and have little say in the club. So what is the point of them? If these Americans buy more shares then they will have to buy out the trust, and the trust will have to sell, but who gets the money? The trust are basically dead in the water, they'll be gone within a few years

Exactly .....the two Manchester squads are valued at over 400,000,000 and down to the 7 th highest valued squads , they are still twice as much as our 70,000,000 squad .

Not saying anything about your opinion Taff , only that it seems most in the same position as you aren't of that opinion about being kept from the new investment deal over the past year ... That's all ...cheers

I don't think anyone thought we would be competing with the likes of Man utd, but I think we should be able to compete with a lot of the teams in the league though and as it stands everyone other than maybe Burnley seem to have more financial clout than us. I know things might change, but I would have thought after 6 years we may have moved on a little. I think the proof is in the pudding in what we do now the take over is compete and we start competing with the Stokes, WBA and Palaces of the league. We will have to wait and see if we have moved from Poundland to Tesco, I know we will never be shopping at Harrods and that is fine.

As long as we compete on the 'Field of Play' that's all I care about, didn't we do the double over Manure the other season? and Arsenal? or was I imagining it?

Well I for one am cautiously excited for the future. The rest od the transfer window will give us a good idea of what these blokey blokes are all about.

Buyout extremes : Everton and Swansea both got bought this year .
Everton sold just under 50 % for 200,000,000 and were given 100,000,000 for transfers this summer.
    Swansea sold 60 % for a 110,000,000 and ...............................................................
Now I'm not saying we should be handed 50,000,000 for transfers but jeez ...show a bit of gumption and I'm a penny pincher .

But they are games that are one offs, the games we should be targeting for a win are those around us thats what makes or breaks a season , thank god last year we had Chelsea and Utd in disarray otherwise we would have been in the poo.IMO we won't be that fortunate this year against them .

I agree, last season we were poor against those who finished below us, the only double was over Villa (who finished below us), Bournemouth 5 points dropped, palace 4 points dropped, Norwich 3 points dropped, Sunderland 5 points dropped, Watford 3 points dropped. For me this is where we should be targeting our points and the rest will happen for us.

Fully agree, and the teams around us have also strengthened considerably.
