I'll have a go at a few today for fun

    2.55 Ascot Nakeeta 5/1
Ran a poor race last time when fancied and hopefully can run up to his Chester Cup form.

    4.05 Ascot Masterpaver 11/2
I know the favourite has been put up in this race earlier in the thread but I feel this one can benefit from a stronger driving finish. He travels really well in his races but hasnt finished one out yet. With Spencer aboard he should get that so long as he doesn't take a massive pull at the start.

    4.35 Ascot Royal Birth 7/1
Won rather comfortably last time here and a three pounds rise seems lenient.

    5.05 Ascot Fredricka 12/1
His last run was alot tougher but he has been running well in races of similar standard as this.

    7.30 York Diploma 5/2
Looked impressive on her first start this year. Ran well at Royal Ascot and hopefully she will be better on faster ground.

    8.00 York Woody Bay 10/1
Tough race. Ran well on his last three starts while not being overly punished by the handicapper

Had a small ew on Bazula here at Thirsk at 50/1. I reckon it's got a big run in it and hoping today's the day it scrapes a place

Unfortunate. Jockey got bumped just as he was mounting a challenge and had to get his toe back in his irons which cost him plenty. Winner in waiting.

Red Box awarded it as he got up for 2nd. Harsh ruling.

Explain the logic in that amended result? A horse that basically had no right to win the race has got the result and the horse that clearly would have won comes second. What a farce.

Irish rookie would have bolted up. Red box was been held back in third and would have stayed there had Spencer kept his horse straight. It's an idiotic rule. Hope Frank gets a lengthy ban for it. He wouldn't try that in France.

Bookies are the real winners there by not having to pay out on a very popular favourite.

Having re watched it several times, it is a very bad way of resolving the issue which has arisen. Irish Rookie was squeezed, halted and lost stride, had to drop a few paces and try pick up with 1 furlong to go. The amended winner had a clear run, no hassle and got to 2nd on that reason alone. Had Rookie not being impeded, there was only one result there. Harsh.

Agree but why did Ryan Moore risk going up the inside? Not pocket talk as I was awarded the race but just dont think he should have taken the risk in the first place.

The gap was ther to go up the rail and his horse had the momentum. Had he switched out he could easily have unbalanced the horse. Just my opinion and I would agree that there was a risk to going up the inside but it doesn't mask the fact that it was a rotten piece of riding.

It's blatant cheating in my eyes and what's worse is there is a system in place to amend such wrong doings which has failed in this instance and several other similar instances ib the past.

Obvious risk. He was closing so quick as well both horse and Frank got spooked and a knee jerk reaction meant he closed the gap illegally. Anyway it's done and dusted now, just seems a strange rule. Makes no difference to me but in the future it may well do.

Bizarre to say the least, would have thought first and third amended with Red Box in second keeping second. Can't remember the last time a horse was awarded a race for doing nothing but finishing second on merit if you see what I mean. Think I've backed about 8 horses the last couple of days which have finished second, now I'm thinking they should all be rewarded and be given as winners :)

Spencer banned for 3days which are Aug 5,6,7th which is Shergar Cup weekend which he was Captain.

Stipendiary steward Paul Barton said of the decision to overturn the result: "We considered Irish Rookie would have beaten Namhroodah without the interference, all that momentum she had built up disappeared with the interference.

"Namhroodah has to go behind Irish Rookie which means Red Box gets the race - that's just the way the rule works."

Stupid rules to me. Surely 1st and 3rd Amended.

Not seen any of today's racing been at a bbq all day, just seen results am so so disappointed in Bermondsey, I've never been so confident about an horse in my life and to see that it wasn't even close is ridiculous.

Ain’t, I say ain’t, seen the heat but read the reports and although Star Archer didn’t oblige he seemingly ran a race full of promise in going down by just half a length to the more battle hardened, Tommy Taylor. Star Archer was 3.25 lengths clear of the 3rd home yesterday and on that evidence you would have to say that a maiden, next time out, should be a formality (unless opposed by the ‘reincarnation of Pegasus’) before a possible step up into Listed/Group contests. Star Archer…one for the notebook, methinks.
