Mane will play right wing, irrespective of 433 or 4231. Klopp played him right side in all but one game. He did ok at LW but the level of opposition was awful. Wijnaludm I can't quite figure. He could play LW but also CM. Its hard to say... in a 433 he could easily be LCM.
not really.. it's just kind of.. ok i understand that with a window open you have to cover stuff but it really is a total waste of time. he's signed and bogdan is loaned out... like he's no better than bogdan.
I have heard it said by some left wingers that they get isolated as some midfielders just pass right all the time. that's all i'm saying.
Prob less wages than bogdan who probably wanted to play football rather than be 3rd choice while manninger is prob studying badges at 39 and happy to be 3rd choice so he has time to study
I'm pleased with both signings. I'm also pleased they're done early so they can get to know the squad and manager. We're all second guessing what Klopp has in plan. Mane will play out wide, probably in front of Clyne. That sounds very good to me. Wijnaldem is an odd one, I like that we signed him as I think most of our forward players are very similar and he brings something different. Firmino, Coutinho, Lallana are all small tricky intricate players. Wijnaldem is more of a strong big attacking midfielder, so it gives us something different. Something we haven't really had since Gerrard dropped back to a DM (I'm not making a comparison btw!). I think it'll be either of these... Assuming Coutinho stays - Klopp may mould Wijnaldem into a CM as a partner for Can. That's 2 big strong lads in the middle. If Coutinho goes - He could just slot in at number 10, or even LW if Klopp plans on playing Firmino as a ten. We've seen Coutinho play both, which makes me think there could be movement this window for Coutinho, now Wijnadem is on. The most important thing is Klopp will get these new lads on the right wave length and our bench will look a lot stronger than it has in years. I'm kind of warming to the idea of Klopp moulding Wijnaldem into a CM and partnering Can. I don't see why not, he's played there before and he has the attributes needed to be very good there. It's all exciting right now. Very pleased with the summer so far. Outs and Ins.
Liverpool are set to announce the signing of veteran goalkeeper Alex Manninger on a one-year contract, report the Liverpool Echo. The 39-year-old has been training with the Reds at Melwood following his release from FC Augsburg, and is now set to be Jurgen Klopp’s third-choice ‘keeper for the new season, behind Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet
Would welcome Amavi - he was one of the biggest talents coming out of France before he joined Villa. Remains to be seen if he can come back from the ACL injury last season .
Yeah was slight exaggeration, just wouldn't class him a snog and powerful. Not an issue, Kante isn't big but uses his body and is strong for his size.
