If you ever are near Marks and Spencer Chan they do a stonking Beetroot pickle...I'd go through a jar if I could get away with it, with some nice cheddar on a sandwich. Some veggie soup and 2 batch rolls for myself. 7/10.
I will certainly give it a go STH. My appreciation of beetroot is fairly new to be honest. I could take or leave the stuff you get in a jar. However homegrown is just lovely. Easy to cook too. Well the Mrs says it is anyway.
A course I avoid almost at all costs Ron if possible, there's about 4/5 for me I stay clear of due to not being able to pin point a winner even with the most rigorous of effort Redcar, Chepstow (flat), Pontefract and Bellewstown are some of my other "avoid at all costs" tracks. I bet most will have a track or two that even when they fancy a horse, they see what track it is and will be slightly cautious...

To be honest i also hate all of them except Pontycarlo. It's one of those tracks that has a massive draw bias to low numbers so it's easy enough to narrow down field.
