I think it's likely that a team that can't score in a brothel will get relegated. Sorry but someone has to say it.

Let's see who turns on JFH if things go wrong?
No excuses now. Last season is over. It's now his team/tactics. He needs to produce. I don't mean automatic but at least a build on last season and a bit longer in a cup.

Typical pre season game, players looking for fitness and to get minutes under their belt. Felt we were quite slow in the first half but with the introduction of Cousins the pace picked up a bit
Thought Cousins looked very good (he's a big old unit !!). Shodipo is quick and could play himself into the squad this season. Chery , El Khayati,Perch looked good. Thought Gladwin had a good game as did Luongo, shame they scored with their only real shot.
It's preseason, I was quite pleased with what I saw hopefully they can improve as we get towards the start of the season.

Liked the look of Shodipo for a 19 year old who looked hungry. Cousins looks like a grafter and can string a pass together. Nasser didn't do too bad either when he came on.
Unfortunately Polter doesn't look the deal. We do need a hungry striker keen to look for the ball and move around defenders to get it.

But with the injuries suffered I fully expect the Sheep to trot out the classic "it's still not his team, wait till next year...."

Recruitment is or was down to Les so who's to blame if and when it goes pear shaped, I bet it's not Les.

Cousins hasn't played yet, we still need a main or backup striker depending on how you view Polter. Lets hope the defence can do a job this year, I suppose at least we own a left back, question is, will we play him?

We need at least two profilic strikers before we start to talk anything else than surviving next season.

I see no freebies on QPR Player as for past pre-season friendlies.

So what's happening Nines?

Sorry Killy, I was just settling down to watch the kick off when I got a phone call from Mrs nines.

''Where are you?''

I forgot that I had to go to watch my daughter in Les Miserables. Two and half hours of it.

You told us el Khayati was the future last season. Would be handy to have some options though, hope they both deliver whatever potential they have and feed the Big German. I reckon he'll convert about 1 in 8 chances, so they better get busy.

I heard that he scored a very good goal and played well when he came on tonight. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on if he gets a run of games.

Just out of curiousity, how many games is that now that Luongo has gone without scoring ? I've said it before our midfield has got to contribute goals,if he doesn't start scoring he shouldn't be in the team, hoping Cousins can chip in with a few this season.

Like us either time we went up?

Obviously it helps but it's rare for a team at any level to have two strikers getting 20+.

We had Charlie though and went up via play off's.
Burnley had Ings/Vokes
Leicester had that bloke who i seem to have forgot. :1980_boogie_down:

No argument to have Watford, if you have goal scorers normally you go up.

Don't forget they had Nugent and Ulloa too.And a certain bloke called Mahrez !
