For me there are two questions. The first: are we going to be sold? I have no idea. The only person who can really answer that is Assem Allam. He'll tell us in his own good time. If he wants to sell he'll get the price and the terms he wants. If the Americans have walked away then he'll still own Hull City in November, December or whenever. I can do nothing about that. Even if I bought a replica shirt it wouldn't increase the purchase price. The second is do I think the membership scheme is fair? No so the protests continue. If the Premier League insist that away fans get concessions then even more reason to protest. What good will it do? It will let the club know we haven't forgotten, we are still unhappy and they may like to consider doing something about it. They are sitting on £96 million from the TV money, a few hundred thousand to re-introduce concessions isn't going to break the bank.
For someone who has seen most things you should realise that these should be the best times and yet because of the owners for many they are the worst.
But those running the club are convinced they are right and they are not going to budge because a few thousand red cards are held up at a game. And as hard as it to take they are in the driving seat.
You've been out of the country too long to come up with a statement like that. How can they be the worst ? I know these should be the best times but I also don't think they are the worst times either. Not by a country mile they are not........and we could see a solution to it all in a few weeks time.
I personally will not set foot inside the ground Walter, but understand and respect fully your opinion which echoes many others. But id ask you all to do this. Wear red!!!... T-shirts anything because for me as sure as hell red cards will be confiscated. Doesn't have to be expensive, cheap and cheerful bright red. They could be printed with something simple lie GO NOW!!!.. or OUR CLUB IS NOT A TOY!!!... or THIS WILL NEVR BE YOUR CLUB ALLAM!!! Im sure some T shirt company in Hull should be being pro active at offering these. FFS, The HDM should be promoting the sale of them!!!
As I said these should be the best of times. Years ago at our clubs level there was no money, for the fans, the players or the owners and yet at most clubs even ours sometimes there was a sense of togetherness. There may only have been a few thousand there, but we were all on the same side. Many have said that if only the Allams hadn't fallen out with the council and then subsequently the fans we should be building a statue of them. Every single thing now results in a widening of the gap between club and fans. Can you tell me one thing they have done that builds a bridge to the fans?
A significant fine by the FA for ignoring the rules laid down in the Premiership guidelines would highlight out case even more.
That really would highlight something, no doubt there. On account of it being **** all to do with the FA, who btw, aren't the PL. Also, guidelines are not rules, they're guidelines.
Red cards can be folded & put into a jacket pocket can't they? Or are we talking heavy duty cardboard?
Please correct me if I'm wrong but the concessions detailed by the FA or Premier League are not guidelines...?!!...open to correction .. which was the gist of my point.
Yeah I know. It's also not the FA who imposes or enforces PL rules either. Basically, the cockwombles post was wrong in every element. Was fun pointing that out.
and the have offered concessions .. in certain areas ala arsenal ... so no breach of rules ... ffs stop thinking that the league will come down on them at all ... rules are adhered to , supporters mean nothing ... usual to see ya de ya
They haven't, there are currently no concessions, that's why they're still trying to negotiate an arrangement the Premier League are happy with.
