England's complete disintegration at the Euros has left me completely confused as to who should be the next England Manager.
We could have the best tactician in the World, but if he can't get them to play when it really matters it won't change anything.

Maybe big Sam would at least fire some ****s into the over-paid tarts!

Turns out the FA doesn't want to pay what the top class foreign contenders would demand. So a cheap home grown candidate is preferred. Alan Curbishley anyone?

All I can say is, if Big Sam is the best England can do, then your are in deep ****. He is a good man to manage a club in a relegation fight but to steer England on to the next world cup??? As McEnroe used to say, you can' not be serious. The FA should be going for a man who has won lots of things in world football and Big Sam has won little or nothing, He is definitely not the best man for the job. That's my view.

He has won the League of Ireland with Limerick 25 years ago. Top international experience, plus his 3rd division title and two play off finals in England. Excellent background for someone to try and get us out of the group stages at major finals, which I think is the target.

Got to be a chance that the next two world cups are cancelled or boycotted, which would make this appointment a fantastic irrelevance. I have no expectation of seeing England on home turf in the last few games of the next Euros.

You know that, I know that. Please can somebody have a word with the people at Soho Square or wherever they are based these days.

I agree there should be a boycott of the next two world cups. If Ireland qualify, I wouldn't bother travelling to either Russia or Qatar, especially Russia. What a dump. I doubt there will be boycotts though as there is too much money involved for the countries that qualify.

Might see clubs putting pressure on their players to withdraw through 'injury', especially Qatar.

As I said though, we could get the best coach the world has ever seen who's won everything, but if he can't get the players over this obvious hurdle of doing it when it really matters it will make no difference.
