All over media now. If this happens, Saints show once again how sneaky they can be. I wonder if Les Reed could get a job at MI5.

Come on Fran, what do you mean "if"... He is head of MI5. Double agent as a Football Director too. Ralph heads up the CIA and they go on missions into Europe together. Rumoured to be making a film based on dealing with the clubs fans....

Mission Impossible 8

What I like about this move(if it goes through) and Redmonds is that both players are young but have a load of experience at the top level. Les the Magnificent gets the goods but doesn't throw money around. It's not your own money you know. He's not mean he's careful!

Prudent is a lovely word for Les.

He's great. but still a bit raw.
Think of a Schweinsteiger with a bit more of technical abilities and (much) less experience.

congrats.

Bayern fan.
Well, Schweinsteiger in his prime was terrific so sounds like we're getting ourselves a terrific young player.

Certainly sounds an exciting signing. Primarily central midfielder but can play defensive or attacking if required. His stats are better than all our midfielders last season though he will be another who picks up a few yellows for his tackles I suspect. Better at interceptions and passing than Big Vic though.

I'm not a huge Les Reed fan but I do appreciate it when someone who has clearly failed in previous clubs comes here and fits like a glove. Fair play to the man.

He picked up 3 yellows in 23 league appearances for Schalke last season. Although he also picked up 6 yellows in 12 Europa League appearances.
