Here's my favourites, in no particular order: * City v Chelsea - FA Cup 3rd Round (if memory serves me correctly). 3-1 City with Nobby Turner getting two and Mark Gavin the third (happy to be corrected) * City v Gas at Ashton Gate. 1-0 to City with Louis Donowa getting the winner. Game included a Holloway penalty miss (save by Andy Leaning) - what a noise!! * City v Liverpool - FA Cup. All three games enjoyable but the highlight was being at Anfield. Neil 'Razor' Ruddock - great man, took loads of stick yet played along with it. * City v Cardiff (Carling Cup, I think). Forget the score (but we won, obviously). Hatrick by the one and only Andrew Cole. * City v Portsmouth. 3-3 season opening game at Ashton Gate. Jacki played a blinder, forget the scorers although Nicky Morgan seems to ring a bell. Too many others to mention, but that's my highlights.
Redprintt Yes indeed, the Liverpool match. Liverpool had just won the league the previous Saturday, faced Man U the following Saturday in the cup final, then the final of the European Cup the following Tuesday. They were an awesome side, who had looked unbeatable in '76/77, and when they took the field the whole ground rose to acclaim them. It was a wonderful tribute from the people of Bristol, and also of course from the 8000 or so Scousers who crammed into our little ground. Clive Whitehead was magical that night. City had a small window of opportunity to beat Sunderland to the drop, but needed a win and a draw from their final two games. Whitehead and Ritchie tore into the magnificent Liverpool back line from the off. Our winner was set up by Whitehead, who mesmerised the defence into blind panic. Having beaten Liverpool it was easier to believe we could survive the drop, and so half of Bristol descended on Coventry the following Tuesday for that dramatic and never to be forgotten climax to our first season in the top flight. Wonderful days. More please !!

City v Forest in the League cup semi-final 1st leg. 1989. What a goal. I still had it on a VHS tape up until a couple of years ago.
city beating rovers 6 nil with chris garland getting on his knees to head in the 6th ultimate piss take
forest at home second leg of league cup semi whalshie hitting the post in the 90th min amazing atmosphere, Bradford away in the quarters lost my voice for a week after that one 1-0 after 90 seconds then defend for your life! Liverpool away tinman with our only shot on target in the game, many days out at trumpton just to laugh at the blue few then duck bricks from the graveyard on the way out, away at swindon mid 80's when we took over the home end and went on to win oh the memories i could go on for hours but these stand out for me.
