West Brom are set to sign QPR winger Matt Phillips for a fee worth in the region of £5m. Due to a sell-on clause, Blackpool will receive £500,000 of the £5m.
Poor Reading getting raped this summer if all the rumours come to pass. Aston Villa have made a £5m bid for midfielder Aaron Tshibola.
Crystal Palace have submitted a bid of £27m that could rise to £31.5m for Liverpool's Christian Benteke.
I disagree. If they get Benteke they're literally guaranteed not to be relegated, and how much does that earn them the next season? I do wonder how the ****wit Jawdie massive now feel about Pardew? Got everything they deserved.
I saw something the other day that made me laugh: Alan Pardew is having a medical at Crystal Palace after bidding £25 million for Christian Benteke!
So already they've smashed our record transfer fee... I wonder if we'll do any "big" signings this window.. or will it be lots of typical bruce signings...
Have to confess I've never heard of him. Atalanta don't get much tv coverage, they're the **** Nerazzurri
To suggest that exceeding our transfer record by £2m is smashing it, is somewhat excessive. Once we have a decision on who our owner is for next season, we'll start to see some business done, until then, it's unlikely anything will happen.
Everton believe they have won the race to sign Belgium midfielder Axel Witsel from Zenit for £28.5m. Can't see them spending another £27m on Mata as well.
Charles N'Zogbia training with Sunderland. I bet that's got the Mackems excited. Crystal Palace are close to finalising a £12m move for James Tomkins. Wolfsburg have accepted a £29m bid from Borussia Dortmund for André Schürrle.
Just think if Chelsea had kept all their young talent - Sturridge, Lukaku, Schurrle, De Bruyne... I'm sure I'm missing some other big ones but you get the point.
Swansea City have made an £8m bid for Joe Allen, however, Liverpool want no less than £14m. Graziano Pelle has been offered a £150,000-a-week contract to move to Chinese club Shanghai Greenland.
There was a documentary on Chelsea a while back on how they signed footballers for their academy from around the world - and a frighteningly small proportion ever got anywhere near the first team. I wonder how many footballers careers they have destroyed in total? The rumours linking Will Hughes to Mourinho and Man Utd I'd be concerned with as the club has been quoted as interested in order to fulfil their quota! Another career potentially ruined as it would appear to be just interest for the sake of compliance.
