Is it just me who is completely uninspired by our current squad? Last season it seemed to be our defence that was the main issue, this time it looks like we are pretty short on quality in midfield and certainly up front!

Yup, midfield looks rather weak and attack looks distinctly threadbare......

At least 2 more good signings required, 1 in each position....( preferably 3 though, 2 being good strikers! )

There's Washington as well as a striker who's obviously out due to the euros, but for me he's been a massive let down so far. If we don't get a few more faces in then we are facing another mid table season.

I don't know, overall it's a young squad and there are some new names in there. The only one I am disappointed to see is JET, though many others have everything to prove. Good to see the young lad from Monaco stepping up, is the the creative element we need?

I do wonder what people are expecting of our squad, we are in a new era of cut purse strings after all. All I see is a young squad that clearly has a few more new faces to add but that has been expunged of all the overpaid, over hyped wasters we've lamented so much over the last few years. That said Hoilett has been offered a new deal and no bids yet for Phillips. Definitely could do with a forward or two, not seeing many goals there yet.

I know what you're saying but other then a couple of new faces who we haven't seen anything of most of the players we know including the youngsters none of which so far have set the world alight. Like you say new era, think I preferred it when I had hopes to be dashed later in the season then start the season thinking we are dead certs for mid table of we are lucky!!

Looks like a reasonably solid Championship squad to me, although we could probably do with a few more goals being scored.

Probably better than anything we had prior to Warnock. Was anybody moaning back then about not having a promotion winning side?

Lets wait and see if we win promotion with this squad before making comparisons with the past

It's definitely an odd boat for us to be in not splashing the cash with reckless abandon. Looks like the younger players are now going to get a proper crack of the whip so we'll no for sure whether they've got what it takes. I'm going to go in with no expectation and hope for a mostly positive season.

We have released or want to sell about 8+.players (I have lost count).

We have recently purchased three players (two defenders and defensive midfielder).

I think that there are some more signings to be made, as yes, currently our squad is short.

Why isn't Phillips going? If he hasn't been sold or more to point no distinct offer then he should be there as we may still have him come start of season.

I think in Estate Agent terminology he's 'under offer'...

Perhaps it's a very strong hint that he shouldn't be too fussy when it comes to accepting offers.

Glancing quickly over the tour list, I nearly choked when l thought l saw Joanna Lumley as our second goalkeeper!
Absolutely marvellous darling but a second glance cleared the air for me ..........at one stage, I was out the door to buy a goalkeepers shirt.

Apart from that, the team looks non plus .................... which means we may achieve something more than we might have originally thought.
