Thinking about it, I'd like to see it again. As far as I'm aware, one of the many new rules to have just recently been implemented is that a penalty taker who stops during their run up should be booked, with a free kick to the other team. Did he stop, or just slow down?
Someone in UEFA has spent the last 24 hours pacing up and down, mumbling to themselves "**** I was meant to change that rule wasn't I".
Yeah particularly with the extra 2nd round game. Yellow cards are normal. They could at least make it 3.
Absolutely. Gutted that Davies and Ramsay miss it. Terribly unfair (particularly as Ramsay's was never a yellow).
I don't really see much of a problem with it. Football's very much a squad game these days, and there's not a lot of difference regards the strength in depth for the sides that generally reach the semi finals. I'm just glad accumulated yellows don't apply for the final anymore. That was a more positive step.
I believe that the Italy's shoot out record is pretty comparable to ours and Holland's. So Germany aren't the ideal opponent in that respect, if it goes to pens. Maybe we'll finally get to see a Pelle penalty.
Oh ladies. Just thought that there is a possibility still, that the final could see Jose marking Graziano. That should be interesting. I'd pay to watch the ladies on here watching that battle together!!
