Poor bait, but to humour you, they’re not.

They’ve done fantastic so far in ONE tournament, much better than England, but have had a relatively easy passage to the SF.

Progress in one tournament doesn’t make a team world beaters. Are Wales better than Spain? Were Greece really the best in Europe in 2004?

No matter how **** England are, all in all and overall, we’re better than Wales, Scotland and both Irelands.

Without doubt though, Scotland are rock bottom of the British Isles and unfortunately, I genuinely can’t see them qualifying for a major tournament for at least a generation

    It's not a fact, it's opinion.

By your reckoning, it's fact that Iceland are superior to Spain?

spain have won the world cup and euros

wales have got further than england have since 1996, so in all the tournaments since then england just haven't had a 'easy' draw? come on..

It's fact that Wales have done better in this tournament than England.

But only opinion that they are better than England overall.

Perhaps, a fairer measure would be the outcome of England playing Wales?

They came from the same group as England, they played NI and Belgium in their knock out matches, England played Iceland. Explain how that's easy passage?

Belgium are seriously overrated. A stated, England had an easy passage too but ****ed it.

Look at who Italy have had to play to get where they are in the same tournament.

    Correct.

Same as Greece weren't the best team in 2004.

No they aren't, they've crushed some good sides so far, and were a lot of people's prediction for the Final.

Obviously everyone knows that side is a lot tougher, but England lost to Iceland so you really can't make out as if Wales had easier opponents than England and that's why they're where they are.

I never said they had an easier passage than England. Both sides had easy passages to the QF.

It could be (convincingly) argued that France are better than Belgium though, had England made the QF.

Of course it could be, but England didn't make it so it's irrelevant.

We're discussing Wales compared to England so I'm not sure what the argument about ease of passage had to do with it.

Brady's argument is that Wales' superior progress proves that they're better than England.

Hence why we're discussing the 'ease of passage' as this is 'the measure' in this debate.

    Simple stuff mate.

And I'm pointing out that England had just as easy a draw in the knock outs and couldn't get through, Wales could, which is why they're better. Simple stuff.

so why haven't england made it to a semi final? it doesn't matter in a one off game.. it's about tournament football and wales are superior to england at it..
