Anyone having a bet on the US Open?

I usually have a tenner to win on one of the favourites and a tenner way on an outsider.

This time round I'm thinking about Dustin Johnson to win @ 14/1 and Henrik Stenson e/w @ 33/1 (William Hill)

If I had a bet, I would have a punt on Patrick Reid.....Also think Justin Rose will be in the mix

dustin looks a good bet on those odds. he's been warming up nicely as of late.

Off to Portugal Saturday morning for one week and 6 rounds of golf with my big brother. I am normally knackered after a couple of rounds so god know what I'll feel like after 6 rounds back to back. should be fun tho.

That's a proper golfing break, hope the weather is good for you.
We went there a few years back, 16 of us and the golf was awesome. We had a days break between the golf and a 4 of us went sea fishing, we caught enough fish to have a BBQ in the evening for all 16. Perfect as we had rented an 8 bedroomed villa in private grounds with swimming pool, huge brick built BBQ area and all other kinds of ****.

Dustin is an aggressive type player and his game is not really suited for Oakmont, classed as one of the toughest courses out there. The same can be said regarding Mcllroy. As for the winner; obviously rooting for any of the Brits but if they fail then a cheeky each way bet on Mickelson for me.

Just finished day one of my 6 rounds in Portugal at Vale Do Lobo, incredible course, but I played terrible and my big brother won...Tomorrow at Quinta Do Lago, can't play any worse thats for sure

Nordic. Hope you had a bet on DJ

Ha! I was going to remind you of that one. The boy done well, very well, to hold it together under all that USGA bollocks. He'll win a few more after this. Did alright on the wife stakes, too.

Good call Nordic...not even sure my two "picks" were even playing

And the walk from the 18th to the clubhouse was superb viewing with his wife in that tiny white dress :emoticon-0152-heart

Got my club Champs this weekend.
Played over 2 days with the leaders going out last on Sunday etc.
Anyone else play events like this at your clubs?

Playing in a society meet on Saturday in Basingstoke. First game in 7 months so looking forward to it.

Incidentally I popped into American Golf tosay in Bagshot and was served by Darren Barnard ex Chelsea Barnsley and Wales player.
