So you're denying that you've resorted to insults by chucking out an insult. Nice one Pete, I hope I'm as wise as you when I'm 64 (sorry Paul)!

It'll be hard. His support was in London and they've turned on him. The rest of the country have and always will consider him a buffoon. The fact he's not standing suggests that he also lacks support within the Tory party.

As things stand he's committed career suicide.

    Still, he's good on HIGNFY.

To use your phrase to Stan "Your seem to be incapable of understanding something very simple". But as I said, if you believe that the Tories are giving the NHS more money, then fair play. I'm happy to stop discussing this with you and leave you with your beliefs. <ok>

So he's refused to catch the grenade as he knows it's political suicide.

    Exactly.

The Tory manifesto that they were elected on, included the commitment to a referendum, but not how they would deal with an exit from the EU should that referendum go the way it has.

Therefore they have no mandate regarding what is acceptable and what isn't, in terms of what the deal to exit should look like.

It should be a concern for both sides of this argument.

As I said before, I don't think Boris ever believed in Brexit. It was a useful platform to get him a bigger profile outside of London. He thought he'd be the valiant, patriotic loser and he could then run for leadership of the Tory party to take over from Cameron. Winning the referendum ****ed up his master plan and he's now bottled the opportunity to lead the negotiations with the EU as he would have been fighting for something he didn't believe in.

    What a fool.

I've been trying to get that across, It's not me stamping my feet about Brexit, it's very important that we have a say on who leads us through this very important time.

The Conservative Party doesn't like losers so if Boris had lost the referendum he wouldn't have been in the running.

Exactly. I'd add to that, he saw it as an opportunity to appeal to the far right element within the Tory party as a Brucie bonus.

He never expected to win and as you say, he was a remain believer before the political opportunity to further his career appeared.

Thatcher lost her first couple of elections as a candidate to become an MP. But other than that you're spot on as usual Pete.
