London/Norwich
First post, and so glad I've found a forum that allows banter between teams' fans. So Chelsea way, the first of the 'big' teams, what are your thoughts?

And conversely for Chelsea fans, what are you expecting from Norwich?

Welcome jammis, looking forward to you joining in the banter, and, more importantly, with the serious stuff!

When I left home at age 16 years, I moved to London, and I worked with a Chelsea fan, so I used to go to all the home games with him, so Chelsea became like a second club to me, except when the Canaries came calling!

So you can see, I'm looking forward to the game with relish! Last time I saw us at the Bridge, we stuck 4 goals past the hapless Dave Beasant!

Same again please!

I don't understand what you mean by what am I expecting from Norwich? Do you mean in this particular game or the season?

From this game, I expect Norwich to keep it tight and hit us on the break. We are at home so I'd expect us to beat anyone if we are good enough, but I personally feel Norwich will prove a sterner test than West Brom. <ok>

District Line, apologies, I did mean from this particular game. Thanks for your thoughts.
This is probably a frivolous thread to start with, but since the BBC's 606 stopped, before finding this site I was stuck for discussion that included more than just canaries fans.

Dave, I know the game you mean, we only stuck three past Beasant, not 4. We were 2-0 down (believe the team coach had got stuck in traffic and the player had to change on the bus. they ended up having no warm-up time). Then Beasant lost the plot. We won 3-2.

It was Arsenal we got 4 past on the opening day that year.

:)

I follow norwich as a second team and im flying back from holiday a bit earlier to go to the game!
I expect a pretty good game in all with norwich to try and attack... I do though expect us to win though with a prediction of 3-1...

Over the course of the season I think norwich will stay up... they have the team spirit and the players/manager to and I would be happy to have them in the prem. A solid side.

<laugh> Don't apologise mate, it's probably just as much me being dense.

Good luck, if you can turn Carrow Road into a fortress you should be okay <ok>

To be honest, last season, we were good at home, but probably better away. I know that will most likely not be the case this coming season. If we can get maybe 15-20pts away this season I think we will get enough at home to stay up quite comfortably.

Chelsea tactics : 1) Get the ball to Drogba with through balls, one twos, crosses from Malouda on left and whoever down right. 2) errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 3) That's it.

NB: There is the possibility that Frank Lampard may shoot from outside the box or it will bounce off Kalou's arse when he is looking the other way. Be wary of either situation.
