When will you stop blaming politicians for everything and hold the voters responsible for the people and issues they vote for?
Not going to happen. Hague isn't an MP so isn't eligible. In fact he's now a life peer - Baron Hague of Richmond. Either he would need to renounce his peerage - and I'm not sure that's legally possible for a life peer - or we have our first government led from the House of Lords since 1902.
I am holding the voters responsible. I said when will the Scots realise. Similarly I would say when will the rest realise r.e. UKIP. Doesn't stop the fact that the politicians in there at the moment are playing a game of chance. If people vote UKIP I will ask how long until people realise they are not the party of the working class they are presenting themselves as.
I couldn't read all of that it was just too stupid, is it meant to be satirical? I suppose she has some evidence to base her ponce vs non ponce thing, like some polling that would indicate the Ponce/Non Ponce Ratio (similar to how they did with Young & Old) ? And how was it fear mongering for remainers to point out that there was absolutely no plan for leaving, how can people vote for nothing? If there was a sensible plan laid out for us leaving the EU that people could vote for then fine, but there isn't. The leave campaign ran on xenophobia and misinformation, and it will come back to back them when people realise that not a lot is going to change for them. But saying that, I have read articles just as bad/worse from the remain side of things.
Labour MPs currently deciding on whether the challenger to Corbyn should be Angela Eagle or Tom Watson. Both are seen as 'unifiers' and have strong links to both the 'blairite' and 'union' wings of the party.
I shared that on facebook earlier and you should see the comments from my Indian origin (born and bred in Britain as were his parents) friend who is a brickie. He said "bring these chav pricks on."
If we're in the business of dividing people into two groups, here's my theory; About half the population thought "I'm doing okay". That's on a scale from "getting by" to "let the good times roll". The other half thought "I'm going under".On a scale of "my life is ****" to "I've had enough of this". The first group voted Remain. The second voted Leave.
http://www.politico.eu/article/work...e-david-cameron-as-conservative-party-leader/ Stephen Crabb joins the Leadership race . Surely that's a sideways move ? I nicked that from somewhere else !
You will see a few no hopers putting their name forward. Those thinking Boris would get in the top 2 have been jumping the gun. He might struggle to get the backing needed to make the last 2. The Tories were duped by Cameron's anti EU stance last time and it is no secret Boris isn't a leaver.
Vote in Labour MPs: 'Do you have confidence in Jeremy Corbyn as Leader of the Parliamentary Labour Party?' Yes: 40 No: 172
I'm still not convinced Corbyn will step down even though he has had that vote of no confidence. I think he is too thick to realise he cannot continue. Sorry for you socialist voters but you are in a mess right now!
