Chilli, but it has to be mine, not the watery tasteless stuff you some times get in pub restaurants or tins.
    Black pudding.
Sunday dinner, when you have it warmed up later after a few beers

My missus is a really decent cook, she makes the most delicious chicken risotto, as tasty as what you'd get in a good restaurant.

She does a lot of other dishes but can't get her head round how to do a bechemel sauce for lasagne, and it's quite straightforward and tasty <leaves it to moi>

I see Woy went shopping at Iceland last night and got himself some humple pie ffs <grr>

I don't eat squid and octopus but if I did it'd be in Greece where they were in the sea about an hour before arriving on your plate.

Get yourself down Tesco's when they sell whole salmon half price or reduced.

They'll usually de-scale (half-heartedly) and fillet it for you.

I prefer to do it myself. They never de-scale it properly for me, and I can fillet better than the kids over the counter.

A good size one can get you about 16-18 pieces and about 20 spicy home-made fishcakes from the leftovers.

Its all personal taste though isn't it. I know what you mean about swordfish though. Great steaks.

One fish I'm not too keen on though is trout. There's a perfumey taste to it I just can't get used to.

They've got some good beers too eh, I quite often pick up a few bottles of Mythos when I see it over here.

Their wine...well it's cold and gets you drunk if you have a couple of carafes to yourself.

Nah, I can't make it at home mate... the fish is just a no-go for me, my wife sometimes makes salmon... I rarely eat it in the house.

I love sushi though, when it's made and put in front of me on a plate.

Crispy salt and pepper squid, with chillis, I could eat 10 plates of that stuff... salty as hell though.

I ended up with a full chicken, pack of sliced gouda, tub of hummous and some wraps.
