I thought it might be interesting to calculate how much net profit the club has made on transfers in and out for the last three summers so far..
I have come up with a net profit of approximately £60m and I was wondering how much of this was being spent on Staplewood and the general running of the club and servicing any debt?

No idea, more than enough though. Anyone else feel we have become the Ajax/Porto of the Premier League in terms of our transfer policy? Buy cheap/nurture through the academy and then sell large.

Interested to know the figures you came up with.

Are they purely based on signing player A for xxx and selling for yyy?

If so, what about player A wages were xxx and the replacement player wages are yyy.

That would need to come off the net transfer figures.

This doesnt also account for agent fees...

Interesting thread, but rather than "come up" with £70m, why don't you list it and we can see if you missed any off :)

Very true. This weekend, my Dad and I did a rough *** packet job. He had said we had sold £125m in three seasons and I cam up with £100m we'd spent. No wages considered.

i think we should calculate how many more of our f***ing players are we going to sell this summer!
= net profit of i dont give a **** because none of it goes into my bank account!!!!!!!
Whereas each game we dont win costs my emotional reserves

Is it just Mane who is net profit? If so, why....unless they are Academy products.

And as said....have to consider their wages as well. Some will be offset by wages of outgoing players, but in general our wages are rising.

Mane is the only one to arrive and leave in the 3 year period. He could have put him in both sections but easier the way he's done it.

£60m is still a lot of money, but I realise that we took a hit with Osvaldo and Ramirez's wages during this period

Have made a couple of amends, also, Mane needs to be both 'out' and in' and Lallana in twice...

£69m net spend.
Maybe £10m on agents
Maybe £10m additional spent on wages over those two years.

Finish higher than the mugs who paid you all that money...

Not a bad day at the office if you ask me.

I put Mane as £23m net profit instead of typing him on both sides

Sorry it should've been Wanyama £11m
