It was me who posted about promises and accountability. Whilst Farage and his foul party may not, Johnson, Gove and the hideously two faced Duncan-Smith do have power, have intimated promises and basically hidden behind the lies being peddled for their own gain.

Unfortunately, I've seen a number of posts on Twitter about racist incidents across the country since we voted out. I know that Leave voters aren't racists, but unfortunately this vote has empowered far-right idiots massively.

Had some friends around today who said they voted leave. Why I asked "well we weren't sure and we were going to vote remain but changed our minds at the last moment. we didn't think they would win". They are not stupid or racist but even they didn't really give it the consideration it needed. Maybe they would still have voted leave but it was clear that some of the things we discussed they didn't realise. We discussed all this without falling out with each other I'm glad to say. I have heard quite a few say they voted leave for no particular reason which really is a shame. FLT is right maybe as a country we shouldn't have been asked as some don't seem to have realised the implications despite all the information available. Anyway it's done now so the sooner the politicians get on with it and stop the uncertainty the better.

Jeremy Corbyn - what are you doing? Hanging on will only lead one way: destroying the party.

I am really not sure what to think of the Corbyn stuff. He offers ideology where British politics is a vacuum - yet if you really think what ideology it is, it is the ideology of students on rallies and not the ideology of the working man. In other words, he doesn't represent real working class people. In fact, he represents middle class student lefties... He's a **** leader and he is hamstrung by having pretended to be pro-Remain, when his Leave nature could have been a strength and made the referendum vote a victory for him.

If Labour do remove Corbyn, it would be great if they could think outside the box and persuade Sanchez, the PSOE leader in Spain to come over to the UK, He is suave, youngish and intelligent. And Fran, good looking!! Lots of businesses recruit the best talent from outside the UK, but the political parties seem very narrow in the selection process picking solely from within the UK.

By the sae token the list of names to replace Cameron looks awful. Could not the Tories search for the best centre-right candidate from any number of sources. Rajoy from Spain come to mind and frankly this guy is outstanding against any possible candidate the Conservatives are going to throw up.

I really wish he'd just go, but if he won't, then let him run again. Hopefully this time around there will be at least one credible opponent; either Hilary Benn or Chuka Imunna would get my vote.

Corbyn does have a mandate, but the ground just shifted from under his feet. Of course, if he stands and wins again, we're ****ed. But we're all ****ed now anyway.

Any word on the Spanish election today? Was in Mallorca last week and indications were they would do well.

Not Chuka Imunna please. He looks and sounds like a Tory who go lost.

I really think Labour should seek out Sanchez as he has taken PSOE as far as he can. He would arrive with fresh ideas and a new image which is badly needed by Labour!!

Results are very similar as last time with PP the largest party but well short of an overall majority. As none of the others wanted to get into bed with them last time, PSOE and Podemos may well try to negotiate a deal but their combined number of candidates falls well short of a majority so it leaves the Nationalists wagging the tail. With the summer upon us, nothing will get sorted out until well into the autumn but in all likelihood nothing will be resolved so it is possible that there will be a third election in December.
