The Bank of England didn't put up £250bn at all. They said they had that amount in reserve if it was needed. This is was a warning to the speculators and reassurance to the market that there wouldn't be a liquidity crisis. If you think it did can you provide a link?
You don't seem to have much understanding of markets. There's a mixture of panic and speculation. Calm down and give it a few weeks and things will be fine.

Is this the same Farage that said we could spend the money we send to the EU on the NHS only to say 'nah, was just kidding'? You're hoping someone will take this opportunity? Hope!

Just to address your point regarding migration numbers - just over half of those migrating are from outside the EU, and are already totally under our control, or rather the control of the UK government, already. So even if EU migration stopped tomorrow, we would still be running at about double of the numbers you suggest is reasonable. I'm not arguing on whether those numbers are are good or bad thing, just that none of the mainstream political parties are running with a manifesto to dramatically reduce immigration and I can't see it happening, sorry.

OK, I see you changed "not" to "now". Very good point, and I strongly agree.

That was for liquidity reasons. It doesnt mean you are going to crash into oblivion and burn its just to make sure that the money is there to stop a greater panic.

I agree with you at the moment...and am hoping that the next leader/government will take on board the "unnofficial manifesto" the leave campaign was so successful with, i.e. trying to adopt a points based system.
We will see.....perhaps this is a new dawn in politics......yes I have been drinking.

There'll be more countries wanting to leave before any trade deal gets finalised. Are you sure the countries of the remaining EU will be happy to risk losing a large proportion of their exports?

Look I'm out of work at the moment, so I'm more than happy to have a go.

Give us a good deal or we invade France.

The UK Border Agency have problems deporting overstayers who work illegally and they release them because they conceal their passports. The Home Office should take a copy of their passport when they enter the country.

Way I saw it, it was speculation at first, i.e. betting Remain would win the day before, then panic when it didn't.

Thankfully our banks are a lot better prepared for these types of ****ery from these speculating arseholes.

I'm not knowledgeable at all about banking though Pete, so out of interest, if the ****s had bet on Out winning, would we have seen a surge in all shares?

Where has it been said they have put 250 billion in. We have that in reserve if the situation deteriorated significantly. !!!! Get your facts straight.

About the only good thing between the 2 of them I can see is, at least if Trump won anything he did would be telegraphed for all to see. Hilary is way more sneaky, but just as dangerous.

But you can make claims like this? Get a grip.

    To get you right

We're definitely heading into recession, although we're still in Europe for the foreseeable future.

We were in recession 8 years ago, whilst in the EU, but not because of the EU. Japan went into recession too because it was a world wide crash even though it didn't include the whole wide world.

We recovered quicker and stronger than virtually all of our European counterparts although they were in the EU too but our better recovery was because we were a member of the EU.

You saw the pound & shares crash but didn't notice the recovery.

You accuse others of putting spin on the actual facts yet you put facts on your own spin.

You're very bitter & muddled. Accept it, don't whinge like a bitch guessing what may or may not happen. Get on with it.

Evidence for this? The Border Agency would have a record of the passport & number used when they entered the country, so would have no problem working out where to deport them to even if they claimed they had "lost" the passport.
