Strong rumours Jordan Rhodes is having a medical as part of a player plus cash deal with Boro. Catts plus a fee (unknown. Rumours of 6-8m) Im ok with this. I think. But i love Catts.
Not sure Hope we don't get another Danny Graham Having said that Rhodes was good at Blackburn but hasn't quite cut the mustard for boro. I think that the money bantered about is a bit much for us to pay

ffs Sunderland are set to launch a player-plus-cash deal to complete the transfer of Middlesbrough's Jordan Rhodes. The 26-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Sunderland before his switch to Middlesbrough but sources indicate that the Black Cats are lining up an irresistible offer for the striker. It is believed the Premier League side are willing to offer Boro a hefty sum plus Lee Cattermole to secure the deal. Rhodes scored 73 goals in 134 league matches for Rovers following a prolific spell at Huddersfield, before moving to Boro bagging 6 in 18.
Is this some kind of wind up, can't see us letting Catts leave before we have M'Vila tied up or someone similar. Rhodes hasn't done much at the Boro, if true would find this hard to stomach, just like today's election result.
Conflicted on this one. I do rate Rhodes and I firmly believe he'd be a good signing for us but for one thing I don't want to see Catts leave and for another if he does are we likely to sign three midfielders that will be good enough to hit the ground running and won't cost the earth? I doubt it.
To part with Catts plus cash I`d be looking for a serious upgrade. Not sure Rhodes falls into that category. Undecided

Why do you say that mate? He's not had a crack at the prem yet but what more can he do than score goals which he has done all his career, 318 apps and 167 goals is not a bad record at all.
Cause ive seen him play alot mate and hear Boro fans opinions of him. He misses about 5 good chances to every goal he scores. In the Championship he gets about 20 chances a game. He'll be lucky to get 5 in the Prem. His first touch is awful aswell. Why do you think Fletch gets the nod over him for the Jocks?
Weve already failed badly getting players from the Championship ie. Bridcutt, Buckley and Gomez. They were all top players in that league. Look how it ended up!

No idea tbh, Fletcher scores a lot less goals and doesn't offer much else so I wouldn't play him over Rhodes. Maybe if they'd played Rhodes they'd be in the Euro's. Doubt it like. I wouldn't take Boro fans' word on him as he's only been there for 18 games, still scored 6 goals despite apparently being ****. I think he's a good player from what I've seen and to an extent his record speaks for itself. There'll be better options for cheaper though to be fair.
