David Cameron announces he is stepping down as prime ministe

There should be a new PM in place by the start of the Conservative Party conference in October, he says.

It is not right for him "to be the captain of the ship" as the British people have taken a very clear decision to take a different path to the one he has promoted, he adds.
 
That will see another chunk taken out of the countries wealth.
Sterling will be back into freefall and the stock market will take another plunge. It will be a long time till we see a dead cat bounce.

TC as a banker might just have committed employment suicide unless he moves to Frankfurt full time instead of just flying there after matches.
 
I like Boris myself, yes a bit of a clown but I think he did a grand job as Mayor. Corbyn needs to go now and someone at Labour needs to persuade the right Milliband to come back

At least some good will come of it.
Not sure what it means for NI though... They too wanted to stay in. I see that cnut McGuiness has already been stirring it up. The last thing anyone needs is a rise in Irish republicanism, because of Tory austerity we dont have many paras left to go sort it out again!

We all knew the SNP view of things before the vote,we voted to be rid of the jocks and N Ireland voted to stay in Europe and I think they should.England and Wales would be another Switzerland without the tax black holes which those countries are,and we will just have to learn to do without the loss making oil industry in Scotland and lucky heather.

Northern Ireland should have their independace,what it means to north/south things should be down to them to sort out,not our problem.
