Nope...increasing remain votes 85,000 now..and we are running out of Scottish votes.
Wales is surprising voting to leave...they will suffer, as Wales receives a lot of European money

The country is badly polarised..very sad

Let's hope the commentators are right and it is just the uncertainty...and not just because we are leaving..

But it is going to be a rocky ride for several months

No surprise there, I know a couple of friends who regularly speculate on currency and they've been buying dollars ahead of the vote, they'll be quids-in now...

If it is a Brexit then this is to be expected, we'll take a big hit but once the dust settles the markets will recover as will the pound. I fully expect we will be worse off for the next couple of years but will turn it round. I also believe now the EU actually realise we've binned them they will offer us a new deal to save themselves as the EU will be seriously destabilised by our leaving and we may end up with a sort of 'halfway house' type of membership following another referendum...

Still not over as London has many remain votes but Leave has done really well in other parts of country. Scotts thinking of themselves and Wales are ...well Welsh. Even for a leave i find it scary. Let's hope if its a Brexit that we sign a better deal with the EU.

Your joking aren't you Sooper! It's them who would have made a killing early on then took the money out. Pound will be crap for a bit but will get stronger when things settle.

Looks a dead cert for leave now, let's just hope the economy doesn't nosedive off it, £ now down to 1985 levels against the dollar, not a great start!!

If they followed the betting they'll have lost a fair bit as Remain were clear favourites before 10.00pm last night. The ones who made money were those that bought dollars last week as as Brexit were gaining momentum and then held their nerve when the polls turned towards Remain at the beginning of this week...

By the way, Don't blame me for this as my vote didn't count as it was a remain in my area.

The people have spoken and everybody has to respect that. I am delighted for the genuine Leave people on this board like Col and Goldy. Overall, I think the leave voters were more passionate about the subject and they obviously turned out in large numbers to make the difference. I fear for the whole world economy now and I thank my lucky stars I am not retiring in the next 5 years as I expect pension pots will take a serious hit. I think the unity of the UK is severely damaged with both Northern Ireland and Scotland voting to stay. Other than that, well done to the remain people. I think you deserve your victory. Go make your country what you want now. Just don;t elect Bojo as PM......please.

Thanks for the personal sentiment, Fingy, and I for one hope those on this board are not too disappointed or concerned for their own personal circumstances.

The UK is an open and independent country that wants to engage with the whole world, and its people have shown today they will not be intimidated by threats of penal budgets and being shoved to the end of the queue. It truly is our Independence day.

Had I been there I would have voted leave
Having said that I never thought Ina million years leave would win
Mind you I didn't think America would elect a black president or the Tories would win the last election
I already have money on trump not winning so get all your spare cash on him

I think the result is a positive one for Britain.
The pound has taken a hit but that was going to happen either way.
One would expect Britain to be stronger in the long run.
On that note, I will 'Leave' this thread and head to the local bar.

The pound has taken a hit due to greedy feckers making money out of poor folk. As it happens it's starting to level and rise a bit.
