Seriously lucked out in the ballot, one of my best mates from the club pulled them in the draw too ... i didn't even bother showing up for it <laugh>:emoticon-0103-cool:

Didn't get any last year but had first Saturday centre court the year before (2014) so the lucks been in recently

Sorry you didn't get any, there's always debentures if you fancy emptying out an ISA account or something, or you can pick up the recycled ones at the gate later in the day pretty cheap and see some good stuff

    Thats highly unlikely.

I'd love to see Federer win but I think it would be in 3 at best for him. Any longer v novak and he's done.

I think novae will win as per but there you go.

Why are left-handers more likely to win Wimbledon?

Just 10% of the world is left-handed. Yet since the Open Era began, 23% of Wimbledon singles titles have been won by left-handed players.
I’m left-handed, and lefties have managed to dominate more than our fair share of Wimbledon tournaments. Here I reveal the secrets to our success.Left-handed champions

There have been 96 singles tournaments at Wimbledon from 1968–2015. With left-handers making up 10% of the general population, if they had an equal chance, lefties would be expected to have won around nine titles. In fact they have won 22.

Waiting for Federer to come on so watching Muguruza v Giorgi on Centre Court. Very good close match, could end up being one of the best women's matches of the whole tournament, more like a quarter final or something, and two nice pairs of legs

That is a terrible analysis/article/whatever the **** it's supposed to be. If you look at it past 1990 there have been 50 tournaments, they've (left handers) only won 5, which is exactly 10%. Basically Navratilova had a dominant spell in the 80s and there were a few good male left handers that have skewed the numbers in their favour.

Its a perfect example of why statistics used out of context are extremely misleading, it'd be like saying the chances of winning Wimbledon are much higher if you are Swiss just because Federer.

That went well. Dumped out in R1 by Kusnetsova in straight sets. And when I say dumped she got absolutely spanked

She's not that good anyways. Gets so much more unwarranted attention than other better players purely based on how she looks, her lifestyle and all the expensive, glamorous endorsements she gets (because of her looks). She'll just go the way of the Kornikovas of this world, no major success and doing swimwear modelling for some dodgy agency

Honestly. Who came up with idea of having a grass court, outdoors tennis tournament in England in June/July ? ****ing madness that only the English could conjure up from their clearly insane spent too much time in the rampant heat of the colonies minds

Why don't they start play on Centre Court with the roof on from say 11am on days like this? They know well in advance the rain's set in so get through the scheduled matches and then have a few on there bumped up from other outside courts. Guess they're too wrapped up in tradition. Yesterday one of the umpires had to call an official because a female player had the lightest, whitest ever shade of grey trim on her white trainers. I'm surprised they don't make them paint the racquets white as well !

Looking forward to Federer again today. He's playing a Brit called Marcus Willis who is like 750th in the world. Should be fun
