Perhaps he thinks Wenger will not get a work permit and he can have his job. Judas likes leaving anyhow, you wouldn't expect any different. I voted for exit for a purely selfish reason, I get paid in dollars. A fall in the pound would benifit me. Personally I think the UK will be strong in or out in the long term, there will just be a bit of short term pain if we leave.

Mind you, It's all pretty academic now really. As there are no official exit polls (government censorship to avoid a potential run on the pound) and judging by the way the pound has performed against the dollar this morning together with the fact that the bankers have their own sources of information, a comfortable win for remain is clearly what is now expected by those in the know who have access to the way voting is going. The markets are now betting super big on a remain vote.

    Not the greatest of reasons.
I was paid in Euros for a gig last year, and watched the rate go from 1.27 to 1.4ish in about a month
and not returning back til the end of the year. :( :)

The thing that makes me laugh and irritates me too is that he thinks he matters. That anybody cares about his opinion. When, in actuality, anybody with more than two brain cells couldn't give a flying toss what a deluded ****wit like him thinks.

Could be, if you believed Alex Salmond and his "arc of prosperity" (which ultimately was an
    'arse of pomposity' ) .

Since we have a few days off, time for a quick review of the group stages

    Best game: Croatia vs Spain
Honourable mentions: Italy vs Belgium, Hungary vs Portugal

    Worst game: Switzerland vs Albania
(Dis)honourable mention: Northern Ireland vs Poland

Best goal: Luka Modric vs Turkey
Honourable mentions: Radja Naingollan vs Sweden

Flukiest goal: Hal Robson-Kanu vs Slovakia

    Surprisingly good team:
    Hungary
    Honourable mention: Icealnd

    Surprisingly poor team: Ukraine
    (Dis)honourable mentions: Sweden, Russia

Fan highlight: England fans finally adding a new tune to their repertoire, namely the theme to Rocky - yes, I know, that's not even a WWII film

Fan lowlight: Fans of England, Russia, Croatia, Hungary and Turkey all getting involved in scuffles
(Dis)honourable mention: Fans are still singing Seven Nation Army at matches

Worst refereeing performance: Martin Atkinson, Germany vs Ukraine

    Most baffling UEFA directive:
Portugal fail to win any of their three matches, yet go through as one of the "best" third placed teams

Croatia have been the most impressive team so far despite the capitulation v Czech Rep, (although there were extenuating circumstances for that).

Spain looked good until they played Croatia, Germany and Italy are strong defensively and look very hard to beat.

France and Belgium can potentially beat anyone, but haven't impressed much yet.

England going out in the Q-F is nailed on, as usual.

It's hard to think of a player who stands out as a star performer so far - Payet? Perisic? Boateng? perhaps.

I agree with everything except, perhaps:

Worst refereeing performance: Martin Atkinson, Germany vs Ukraine

The bloke who refereed the Italy v Ireland game last night was bloody awful. He allowed the Italians to play act, foul and generally get away with murder. Many referees have let the game flow even when some very, very tasty tackles are going in. This bloke bought every Italian trick which everyone knows they are going to try. If he gets another game, it is a travesty.

Atkinson's performance was so bad it should have led to conspiracy theories about UEFA wanting the Germans to win, most notably...
    * Rakitskiy won the ball with a sliding tackle, yet Atkinson awarded the Germans a free kick - which was the free kick that set up the opening goal
    * Kroos blatantly slapped Kovalenko in the face yet he didn't even have a word with Kroos for it, let alone book him
    * He (correctly) adjudged that Mueller dived in the Ukrainian area, yet didn't book him for it

There's a few (Dis)honourable mentions I forgot to add, mainly because I was too lazy to look up their names, such as...
Bjorn Kuipers, Croatia vs Spain (gave Spain every 50/50 decision and plenty of 0/100 ones, such as Iniesta's blatant dive); Szymon Marciniak, Austria vs Iceland (the Polish Graham Poll...so which works better, Graham Polish or Graham Pole?

Ogbonna was appalling and appeared to be virtually untouchable.
Every time the ball was played into the box he could've given away a penalty.
The number of high tackles he made from behind was similarly ludicrous. Nowhere near the ball, most of the time.

He's been the best in the England team

    Is that a backhanded compliment?
