The problem is more that we are yet again targeting young players who aren't ready to make an impact in the premier league and will more than likely take a season or two to settle in, if they manage to settle at all. There is nothing wrong with signing young players, as long as they are allowed to play next to experienced players and learn off them. Who are our current players learning off? James Milner & Martin Skrtel? Are those the kind of quality players we are aspiring to have? The message we are sending out at the moment is that we are happy with our first team that finished 8th last season. Maybe we could pick up a few places because of the Klopp factor and the fact we don't have European football but just like the 2 previous seasons our finish in the league is pretty highly dependent on Sturridge staying fit and getting our goals.
"our finish in the league is pretty highly dependent on Sturridge staying fit and getting our goals." Klopp seems to be looking for someone to replace Sturridge(if the rumours have any truth about them), also Sturridge sometimes gives the impression he thinks he's too good for LFC. Its deffo make or break next season for him at LFC, probably break due to him being frail and almost eternally being broken.
For the record. Not sure zeilinski is any batter than what we have. I am confident mane would actually improve us. It's not about stars it's about quality and I'm seeing a couple of huge holes in our team.... never mind the places where we are strong and are not actually good enough
The latest transfer news as Liverpool reportedly close in on the £25m signing of Southampton forward Sadio Mane Talk of Lucas Moura joining Liverpool has kept him high up in the Football Whispers charts for several months now and his rating has not dipped below 3.0 in June and is currently up 1.3 on that. The 23-year-old Brazil international winger scored 13 goals for PSG in all competitions last year, despite starting just 32 times. Football Whispers believe this Liverpool transfer story will be one of the most likely to go through
So in short SKY think that we are trying to buy Moura but the echo think that mane is the target. hmmm who do i believe... a guy with a computer or the guy talking to the insider at LFC.....
Would be happy with Moura though. Out of the two then definitely Moura over Mane, however I expect us to go for Mane, it'll be typical Liverpool
Lallana is getting better, his best is yet to come. I think Klopp can get the best out any player, Klopp may have his reasons for buying any player. You cannot judge the book by its cover. The only problem I have with Mane is the price tag, we will paying over the odds for him.
He's capable of more potent performances than Lallana at his best, yes. The problem is that he is inconsistent, he scored 8 goals in the last 8 games of the season, where was he for the rest of it? We don't need more players that only perform for a quarter of the games of the season, we've got enough of those as it is.
He was good last season but I've seen him play so badly in the past I worry he'll revert to that form.
Exactly how I feel as well, on top of the fact that I don't think he's worth £25m and the fact that we'd be going back to Soton for players again just puts me off, leave them alone for god sake lol, they've been pulled apart enough. We can get better or just as good as Mane for less than £25m. We just need to look abroad.
Such as? No Europe - what's going to make them want to come? Players can get just as much money, or more, from a club in a much better position than us. We need to be realistic. We ****ed up royally by letting our league season fizzle out chasing the EL trophy.
I would be interested in the Hungarian box to box midfielder. Can't think of his name but he looked top draw yesterday. Full of energy and got all over the place. Looked an ideal Klopp player too.
