Brilliant stuff. I thought that it was gone when Hoolahan missed that easy chance, but he redeemed himself. Superb cross and a great run from Brady to put it away.
It has to be said, but after a highly impressive performance against Belgium the Italians have failed to repeat that - they were laboured against Sweden, while their much-changed team tonight was very poor. In the other match, the same questions about Belgium have to be asked: Lukaku missed a hatful but stayed on until Benteke replaced him the 87th minute (and also missed a gilt-edged chance), Hazard faded in the last half hour, and it still looks like Wilmots has no idea what his best side is - and they were saved by a stunner from Nyarlathotep No, he was fourth official for Hungary/Portugal.
Might just have well have been..... Feckin' great result - totally deserved. The mood here is somewhat euphoric....

Warning: Nutty commentator. Just a quick thought on Austria's Dragovic, as I noticed him in that clip: Worst tournament ever? First game: sent off. Second game: banned. Third game: missed a penalty. I'm sure there's been worse, but he certainly had a mare.
Only 8 teams eliminated - I bet there weren't too many predicting they would include Austria, Russia, Sweden, Romania, Ukraine and Czech Rep whilst four teams from the British Isles, Iceland and Slovakia progressed
Just home.... Hic!!! Watching RTE2 highlights on Irish TV and apart from a brilliant technical assessment by Kenny Cunnigham, no mention made of the most blatant of 'not-given' penalties against them. Just pure delight in having put in a brilliant performance and won!! That's the great thing about the Irish.... The glass is always half full
I suspect it is, unless you have another collective geographic name for all the islands on which the UK and ROI sit.
If "KO round" means kicked out round, then England must be voting "out" every 4 yrs in the Euros tournament.
