I don't think Croatia can be classed as an outsider. They have a very talented squad.

As I said Tom, they attack and counter attack with menace!! You are right to say they are talented. I have a feeling Italy are happier facing Spain than Croatia as Italy rarely if ever beat Croatia whereas they have beaten Spain in a friendly quite recently so will not be unduly worried although will spend much of the match without the ball so that in itself will make it hard. Where Spain are relatively weak is in attack (Morata is not that regular a goalscorer, Nolito neither) and I feel Croatia exposed the heart of the Spanish defence last night on several occasions and were unlucky not to have been given a penalty as we have all seen penalties given for less.

Question for you Tom!! Three minutes injury time was given last night, during which we saw a substitution (30 seconds) but the referee saw fit to add almost another two during which time Spain almost equalised. Then we had the appeal for a penalty by Croatia denied and yet one given to Spain. Were the organisers hoping that Spain would get through so that the tournament backers get the heavyweight final between Spain v Germany or France? As it didn't happen a minnow (population wise) will get to the final from the top half of the draw.

It's Uefa, they do what they want!

Albania and Turkey both currently delighted with what is going on. At least one of them will be going through as things stand, quite probably both of them.

I think I am right in saying that whilst the other game stays 1-0, it is impossible for Portugal to finish 2nd (the important issue in this group for us, of course). Another Portugal goal would surely send them top, on goals scored over Iceland.
