30k fans every weak calling you a rapist, wouldnt be long before it effected his mental state and game.

look at the ****e players like gerrard, rooney, giggs, barton etc down the years have endured from rival fans.

He is allowed
however clubs like all employers are allowed not to employ someone with a conviction which they feel damages the company. I haven't worked for a company that would employ a convicted rapist which is why i'm surprised they didn't wait for the outcome of the trial.

mind you why i'm surprised at expediency overuling morals where a football club is concerned is beyond me

Oh absolutely, I was more talking about the protest from women which is what happened when the last club tried to sign him. No club has to, but if a club does, it shouldn't be protest that he shouldn't be allowed to play

I thought Ched Evans' rape conviction was quashed. so he is not guilty atm. he has a retrial in a few months

Yes it's a retrial so it's quite hard to say what to do here.

Do you uphold the rights of all as innocent til proven guilty

Or do you play the ultra feminist cards and go for the jugular

I pity the poor left winger liberals who can't decide what to trample on first.

Liverpool are ready to make a move for Newcastle’s England winger Andros Townsend .
Townsend, 24, has a £10.5m buy-out clause in his contract and Newcastle face a major battle to keep him after being relegated to the Championship.
Liverpool have joined the growing list of Premier League clubs who have shown an interest in the England international.
Manchester City are another big gun watching developments while Crystal Palace, Southampton and West Ham have all registered serious interest.
Townsend would represent good value for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp wants to bring in more pace to his attack at Anfield.
Rather like with City, if Liverpool cannot get one of their bigger more expensive targets then they will look towards Townsend.
