I'd like to see us compete in something like the Asia Trophy next season, may raise our profile a bit and will surely provide a sterner test than a half-arsed kickabout with a Welsh WMC.

I know TP doesn't concentrate much on the results side of things in pre-season, but I would like to see us play more high-profile games in pre-season - I don't think it's a coincedence we started last season slowly after playing a bunch of League 1/2 sides all through July.

Surely it's better to play the small clubs and win, than play the biggies and get crushed?

i suspect the reason we play league 1 and league 2 teams is that Pulis wants to show the players the dross they will face if they don't perform.

does not matter pre season, you play teams you could win against so the teams moral is boosted. If you were to go overseas (or europe) you'd get battered and that would effect your poor team. Championship for you

Did you move from Highbury to swindon or are you just plastic?

Plastic arsenal fans make me chuckle - you'd have much more glory supporting one of the manchester teams.

I'm very pleased for you if that is the case but please don't denigrate a team that soundly thrashed yours last time we played.

Supporting one of the Manchester teams. One FA Cup and Champions League place after nearly 4 decades isn't quite "glory".
