Might do .. dunno why the betting is heavy but it was the same on Rossiter. If the Rangers guys are getting heavy tips then it might be true.

He was crocked after all so what side takes him in the prem on loan

Spurs looking very defensive by the end of all this. Very hard to beat but desperately need pace and width added.

His main role is to provide a defensive shield to the back 4, which he is does brilliantly.

He's not bad on the ball but he doesn't need to be the one dictating the tempo. He's exactly what we need.

    No he's not!

Kante is exactly what we need.

Kante is a real cm. Compare him to pogba in the same team who's ego is already writing cheques his talent cannot cash.

Kante is a real cm. Wins it and can play then

Wanyama is a decent entry footballer but just destructive. He's better than henderson or lucas but not can.

I'd offer the release clause and 250k per week to kante

I think it depends on how Klopp wants to use Can. For the second half of the season, it looks like Klopp was using him as the DM which would mean a Kante/box to box player would be good.

But if Klopp sees Can as the box to box, then we need a proper DM.

Wanyama is better than Can defensively.

Chelsea after Benteke still apparently, won't seem to go away. Hope it's true and if it is then we get a lot of our money back!

What's the score with Markovic? Is he rejoining us for pre-season? Is he going to be looked at by Klopp?

Either way. It's be nice in a cm pair to have both able to play the ball and defend... if bothered.

If it's a 4231 I'd want a player like Kante who while not as good as alonso is as close as I think you'll get right now.

Passing game good. Positivity... all about closing down, taking the ball... etc etc...

Possibly. If so then Benteke is definitely the right replacement for him <whistle>

Really would like to see him work with Klopp. We've seen big improvements from the likes of Can and Origi, and I think Marko could go the same way.

Not overly arsed with Ings leaving... never been sold on his ability or potential for what we need.

    He has improved through absence.

Marko could be a wide forward, to stretch defenders a bit.

Chelsea want to sign Christian Benteke from Liverpool, according to reports.
The Belgian endured a disappointing debut season on Merseyside and the Times say incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has identified Benteke as a potential strike partner for Diego Costa.
Benteke fell down the striking pecking order at Anfield last season, with Jurgen Klopp favouring both Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi ahead of the former Aston Villa man.

Give the poor lad a chance ffs <laugh>

He's not even had one full season with us due to his long injury.

I have a feeling that Klopp will like him

I doubt Benteke would be partnering Costa. After all, isn't Costa going back to Atletico - he's homesick.

Last season, we loaned out too many players and when injuries crept in, we were in trouble. Can't we learn?

    LIVERPOOL KEEN ON MERCADO
Liverpool are eyeing a move for River Plate defender Gabriel Mercado, the club's president Rodolfo D'Onofriohas has told Fox Sports.
Mercado is currently on international duty at the Copa America with Argentina, and Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was spotted last week attending the clash between Argentina and Chile in which the defender scored

I'd like to be proved wrong. But he's a player imo we shouldn't have signed at all.

He's gained so much currency with fans because he's quick and runs a lot... not sure he'd be the subject of so many 'I reckons' if he hadn't been injured when we needed a striker.
