Is this a windup or are you truly this stupid? Mauricio Pochettino is managing a team that is playing in Champion's League and finished in the Top 4. He's exactly the kind of manager a team with top ambitions would try to sign. And we did sign him. See the point here? We were able to get a very good manager suitable for CL clubs despite the fact that we were (and still are) not on that level financially or in terms of reputation. Precisely because we were able to look beyond his mediocre managing record when other teams didn't.
Someone has put a lot of money on Pellegrini. He has come right down in the last hour and now bookies favourite.
We're at a stage now where we can't afford to **** about with average managers and hope they turn out like MP. Why bother with it when we could just get a proven manager in now, done. Or we could do it you're way and be sat bottom at Xmas because he dosent have a ****ing clue what he's doing, hense the **** win percentage, am I making sense now!

Does Pellegrini fit the high press, type of manager, who will bring through young players, that the Telegraph says we want?
He has moved up a level, we were a stepping stone & I fully expect him to make advancements in his career with Spurs and beyond.
The more I think about it, the more I can see why Pellegrini might want to join us. If he wants to stay in England, realistically we might be the best team looking for a manager over the coming months (with so many new ones already in at the top). Plus he can be confident the board aren't going to screw him over like Man City did
Pellegrini wants to stay in England and is apparently looking for one last project before he packs it in. Let's be honest, we've got a Premier League winner, ex-Real Madrid boss who's made it to the last four of the Champions League, and he's interested in managing us. That's a massive compliment. I just got all nostalgic and thought about the last seven years since the takeover. Just... wow. I trust the board to make the right call.
