As I live in Oxford, I cant make it to the KC every game, so full membership/season pass is not really financially viable. So I have just contacted the ticket office about the 'match by match' membership advertised in their membership brochure they produced a while ago, as this gives priority for buying individual tickets, which is ideal for me as I will be going to the majority of away games and a load of home games. But they said details are yet to be announced and they 'hope' to have details in July !!!
It doesn't actually give you priority, everyone who wants a matchday ticket needs a membership card to load it on to. Not that you'll need priority next season, there'll be no problem buying tickets.
Their brochure actually says match by match membership gives priority for buying matchday tickets But as you said probably we don't need it.......but it would be nice to get in ahead of the plastic day trippers for the 'attractive' games
It seems Swansea are also having some issues with people being moved out of their family stand... http://www.not606.com/threads/season-tickets.330803/
Well that's sorted. I'm not joining, so I'm not going to any games (except Man City away where I'll be in with the home lot as I know someone). Well done the Allams, sell please, soon!
Can someone clarify a heated argument had at work........ Can you only buy match day tickets if you are a member I.e. only if you pay 24 quid before next Thursday?
There's not supposed to be any membership fee for matchday tickets, though there wasn't supposed to be a fee for joining the membership scheme ahead of the season either, so god knows. But you only join the membership scheme now if you want a pass, they can't expect anyone to get on board with matchday memberships before they've announced matchday prices.
NFI from me. With this membership ****e I'm scared i might never leave. Bit like that gym membership I've been paying for years.....
It's not for me it's the lad I work with. I was under the impression the only way you could buy a match day ticket was if you had a card to load it on.i.e. not a member you ain't coming in
The initial details said there was no charge for existing members, it being waived for those that signed up early, with a fee for those after the cut off date. As I read it, there will be a free membership card for pay on the day, but they'll be useless if not charged up. A bit like the oyster card scheme. You still get a bit of paper too, with your seat number on.
I have heard of these ticket things. They used to be plentiful and lived in offices. Now the ticket offices have been destroyed and they have no natural home they have an uncertain future. Ticket murderers.
0 Pretty much. I've suggested it as a name to the club, as it's shorter than 'bit of paper', so I'm expecting royalties if they take it up. People sat round tables and agreed that all this **** was a great idea. Madness isn't it.
My mate reckons the different zones will have different colour passes. Gold Zone 4 Silver Zone 3 Bronze Zone 2. Zone 1. Whats the colour of poverty?
Interesting to read that on the 6th June 2008 we had sold all our season tickets (for the play off final we had sold 36,000 in a few days with old fashioned things like ticket offices). 6th June 2016 it was announced relegated Norwich had sold 20,000, Derby 23,000, Wednesday 17,000 and Middlesbrough 20,000+. We were informed that due to a surge following promotion the club hoped to sell 10,000 (something Mike White on RH seemed to regard as an achievement). Could we become the first ever club to be promoted to the top flight but sell less season tickets than the season before?
