We've been giving it the bants no doubt but why not? Got to enjoy it and win or lose tomorrow we are enjoying the experience.

It was funny Roy reacting to Bale though, he should have laughed out off or joined in with a bit of fun rivalry. I've no idea how tomorrow will pan out but we're up for it and all the pressure is on you lot.

**** off to the taffy board then, sheep-twat <ok>

Valley... I'd be HALF tempted but.... well.. I don't go invading other boards on the day. I've never been over so aint going just cos of that.

.......................

Views on last nights troubles guys?

I find it had to exactly see whats going on.

Running tensions all day with english police trying to act as liaisons but around 10pm the french apparently just say enough is enough as some clown is hanging out of a lmap post 10 ft in air but naked directing 200 english aorund a bar and the riot squad move in.

....

we also hear two russians were found drunk out of thier heads in a car someplace with a **** load of weapons and are just getting deported... what... no 3 months for the russkies?

Its all quite odd.. not really sure who's doing what

Today could mark the start to a paradigm shift in power for the Home Country Nations. For so long England have been considered the strongest Home Country nation. All that could change tonight.....

The "home nations" including England are small potatoes when it comes to being successful in major tournaments and only there to make up the numbers, every time England qualify for a tourno the press, former players and supporters start the delusion all over again.
For instance during the last week the country has been force fed Euro 96 in the papers and even documentaries on TV channels, celebrating failure is surely negative if a team wants to actually win something.

true... totally true due primarily to a total lack of organisation.

If we compare the rather easier sport of cricket to football there was an interesting piece about england in the 1990s on tv recently. english cricket meeting before ashes to talk about suits to wear and to be clean shaven not about any tactics.

If we apply the same logic to engurlund we see rashford getting picked in squad. every tournament the same mistakes are made. the same lack of organisation and plan. we saw hodgson bumbling about trying 41212 before then reverting to negativity with 1 up and 5 in midfield with a CB at DCM and no other DCM picked in squad... its hilarious really

apparently we built a squad to attack then picked 451... genius.

if just ONCE, only once we'd really try, ignore the future players, ignore the big names, ignore everything but system, organisation and form and go to achieve people would be happy.

hooked <laugh>

The point being did you see the show on sky about england in the 1990s... about the total disorganization that lead to england never winning an away test for yonks..

the same applies to england football... picking gerrard last world cup... couldn't run. we all knew he couldn't run. picking half fit rooney now.... not kowing the team shape, not knowing which players work best... picking the name or the big money... picking any kid who plays for a big club (rashford) throwing alli in early without a scrap of exposure to real european football and systems that will be employed.

If you go and look on liveleak and other places with raw user uploaded footage, i.e. non-spoonfed-mainstream media what you see is plenty of Russians feel by targeting England fans they're giving them payback for what they see as the years and years of **** the football fans have had to put up with from England yobs and hooligans, it's essentially blowback, except these Russian hooligans are a hell of a lot more co-ordinated and tooled up than the English ever where. There's also an element of the Russian hooligans wanting to claim status as the No. 1 outfit especially I'd imagine with the World Cup going there, it's a little calling card before the main event, which ironically they could be in the process of getting withdrawn.

Far as I'm concerned let the Russian and English hooligans do what they want to each other, they get what they deserve, but put them in a contained area / battle arena, kind of like an anti-fan zone. What is disgraceful and completely unacceptable is the damage done to the cities this is happening in, to their centres and the businesses there, these dicks are tearing little bars and cafes and restaurants apart using their tables and chairs as projectiles and also the damage done to innocent people, peaceful happy fans attending the tournament and the French locals, both of whom have been seriously injured in the clashes.

Apart from Bale's status in their team you could be talking about Wales in that paragraph mito.<whistle>

I think wales have a clear system. they all know for last 2 years who was going to be in team bar injury.

look at northern ireland... picked a back 4 all qualifiers.. go into tournament playing back 5... that's changing it up where having a clear philosophy over 2 years is best.

england literally nobody knows who is going to play. is it clyne is it walker.. what CBs, what LB... what system. where will rooney play.. baout the only predictable thing baout england is joe hart plays, and wayne rooney plays.
