Don't ever go on Twitter again Koeman. There are legions lining up to make your life less pleasurable. I was actually thinking of getting myself an account just to say hi*. * you greedy turncoat.
You make me laugh Billy. Some of us are wrong because we are speculating.... but you are "fairly sure"..... mmmmm How do you know that? Choosing to agree with the speculation that agrees with your view? Makes you no different to the rest of us then. anyway, well done you ... I can't wait for the first Koeman interview as Everton manager and him saying he joined them for ambition, transfer fund and a new stadium ... you'll be straight I here saying "See, it wasn't for his salary"... like he's going to say anything different.
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/sa...xt_24_hours_____after_latest_holiday/?ref=rss Echo suggesting that Saints want to insert the proviso about Everton not signing Saints players next season because Poch broke the verbal agreement by coming in for Morgan within weeks of leaving. I will be interested to see Saints statement about the Lying Dutchman....if it is extremely terse, we can guess their fury hasn't abated; if it includes a thank you for past work, we can guess they are content (if not happy) with their deal.
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/sa...xt_24_hours_____after_latest_holiday/?ref=rss I like these headlines. Koeman to sign in the next 24 hours. I suppose that is a bit like those pubs that have notices saying "free beer" tomorrow. Tomorrow never comes.
Yeh where do they pull these time frames from? I've heard "within the next 3 hours", "in the next 24 hours", "later today" and "just a case of when Everton make the announcement" lol
Of course he's going to say that. And of course Saints will say-- maybe not directly but through the typical "leaks"-- that Koeman is a greedy bastard and liar and we would not be held hostage to foolish demands from a manager we were starting to have reservations about anyway. Quite possible both sides are telling the truth as they see it. Also likely that both sides will be lying somewhat about certain things as well. Doesn't really matter. Because both sides will be saying what they have to say, whether it's the truth or a bald-faced lie. And regardless, Everton fans will believe RK while Saints fans will believe the club.
We must accept that this is going ahead (as we all have in truth). It has been a thoroughly distasteful episode...mainly because we never learn. We know what football is like, but we were all taken in by a man who couldn't live up to the values he set himself (we didn't set these standards for him...he did it). He will justify it by talking about Everton's ambition (which they have), but everyone knows that this isn't the move he wanted for himself, so it is purely about money. Character once lost is hard to reclaim...can't even smile about his strange pronunciations now. He isn't suddenly a bad manager....he did well for us, but let's hope the next manager is even better.

I had this view long before this additional speculation came out and we had convesations about it. I never said once that the majority view was wrong as far as i can recall, just there was other sides to this and that i didnt agree with the RK bashing. This other stuff that came out at the weekend supported my view, not the other way round. Why will i be straight on here saying see it wasnt for the salary, ive already said it is obvious what he will say and why he will say it, this was a reasoned view you see... Anyhow, to all that bash RK, call him names and stuff - i was clearly wrong and will conform to the view of the majority. All hail the King. It wont happen again.
Koeman was all set to leave Southampton for Merseyside yesterday, but when he passed Bath Travel, he saw they had a week in Torremolinos, all inclusive for just £299 and he's gone there instead.
Say what you think, feel and believe Billy. We are all big boys and can cope with differences of opinion.
Everyone should have their own views and not be afraid to air them. It would be a miracle if everyone agreed though . As long as everyone keeps it civil it really doesn't matter. I think Ronald did really well for us most of the time and did well to get the team into Europe after that horrendous 10 match period. My problem is not with his ability but his apparent dishonesty after making out he was different. All the 'I will honour my contract and it's not all about money' talk is what has done it for me. If the other stuff about the academy etc. is true then I have to say I'm not too impressed by that either. By the way is it definitely this Tuesday or have they just said it will be announced Tuesday?

Billy mate, It is a minority view about his so called greed. Is their opinion of any less value than yours? Transfer funds probably was an issue as the club do want the academy players used more if possible. After the money they have put into it surely they are right to expect that? After the interviews he gave where he stated time and time again, he wanted to stay at the club and he had another year on his contract at least. The vast majority on here just feel let down by RK as they trusted him to his keep his word. The disagreement with the board stems from the fact that RK thinks he can only achieve their plans by buying talent in at high cost as others have done, rather than nurture through the academy. So if he failed to arrive at the heights they want it could finish his career or at least put a dent into it. Just another way to look at it perhaps?
Still the bottom line for me is that for his apparent "faults" (most of which have miraculously come to light in the past week), Koeman has delivered more than what I expected and more than what the club expected. He overachieved. As for him not bringing through youngsters. I'm with him on this one, the current crop simply don't look good enough.
