I hope he's as good as last season's unknown Martial. Although it would take some doing.

There is the issue of the ACON, which seems to be every season (yes, I know it's every other). He'd then go missing for a month at spring.

I think it would. I find it hard to believe that a striker like Vardy would prefer to sit on the bench than play football. That seems to be missed in this whole debate. I don't think you can truly compare a footballer's "job" in the same way as the rest of us. We can be offered wages to sit and do fck all and most would say fine. But footballers by the nature of their love for the sport want to play. Money plays an important part in deciding who they play for, but it is only part of their overall decision. Any player who chooses to sit on the bench for the money (Cudicini the best example ever) is just an embarrassment. IF money is the primary factor driving his move to arsenal, then more fool him.

Yeah but Vardy wont sit on the bench at Arsenal though will he?
He is better than Welbeck and Giroud, their other strikers.
Maybe their love for the game is more than say your average worker. And I am not saying he will do a Winston Bogarde, but He will get games at Arsenal AND play in the CL AND earn more than he could have ever hoped for at Leicester, its a no brainer.

I think you might be missing an obvious point and that is that Vardy has been very effective playing in the style his current side play.

Arsenal do not, and nor will they ever, play in that style. So, do you think Vardy will be able to adapt his game to the ****e that Arsenal play?

I personally think not. And that is one very good reason why a player at his age might just think again when it comes to choosing where to go/stay, regardless of how much money they dangle.
