Never ever on that one, of course Pele was part of a Brazilian team that dominated world football for a decade but he was the man who often made it happen. The Europeans double man-marked him but he still slipped them, but the treatment he got during the 1966 world cup was criminal, especially by the Portugese who even fouled him at every opportunity off the ball! Also, he was doing financially OK at home outside of football so he had no need to look for big paydays abroad like today's footballers.
