but because he resigned we won't get any compensation. And neither will he. Unless he comes back with a constructive/sexual/religious etc dismissal claim. Joking aside, didn't his contract end this summer anyway?
Aye - and on the bottom line it probably stated ".....and as soon as you can get another job you can go".
A good result. As I said at the top of the thread, everyone did the honourable thing and can be seen to have come out of it with credit. A few more platitudes and everyone can move on. Just need Trollope to jack in the Wales job (though the Cardiff hierarchy seem to be encouraging him to stay on), sign a few players and crack on with the job in hand.
I agree wholeheartedly about him jacking in the Wales job and have mentioned it on here before - there is no way he can do both justice, certainly not City. This talk of the club wanting him to mix with class players like Bale and Ramsey because it will benefit the club is a load of tosh. The Euros will soon be over and those two and the others will disperse back to their individual clubs who pay their wages. The best that can be said is that he has the opportunity to mix with some potential foreign players and coaches to make future contact, but I wouldn't hold your breath on that one. His job is at CCFC and now he's manager (or head coach whatever they want to call it), the Wales thing should be kicked into touch. It's obviously gone too far and probably pointless to do anything before the Euros, but after that he should quit and concentrate on his employer's immediate needs and that is to build a squad capable of taking out of this division at the right end.
