I don't want us to sell Coutinho but I wouldn't be gutted like when we sold Fowler, Alonso and Torres etc.

Coutinho isn't consistent imo, nor does he have the required fitness levels for a Klopp team.

Little article on Coutinho and Klopp http://www.90min.com/posts/3291432-...tempted-to-sell-philippe-coutinho-this-summer

Not fussed if we sold him tbh, has great talent but goes missing in too many games and doesn't use it often enough for me. He's good but not Suarez level good. He'd command a high price as well giving funds to contribute to a better suited and more consistent player(s)
I'd be concerned about selling our One genuine quality player.

He maybe not as consistent as we'd like, but he has won games single handed and when on form he's brilliant. Also its a bad advert for the club if year after year we sell out best players, if you're a potential incoming who'd you rather play with Coutinho or Lallana?

You are right of course. Better to sign a marquee then toss him than just sell coutinho.

We need to drastically increase quality in the team even if they are all 20.

We need to stop comparing players to Suarez level of talent or we will forever be dissapointed.

Its just a shame when we had him we didnt have klopp in charge. Story of this club lol.

Same with other players we have let go. We keep letting talent go we will forever keep going backwards.

About time this club realised you want talent you have to pay for it. Trouble is too many times in the past we have been burnt over paying on average.

Hope the club have trust in klopp and give him the resources needed to get to where we want to be.

No we are a selling club. We need to wake up to the reality of the game now.

Everyone is for sale, everyone has an agent pushing moves.

Even Utd city and bayern have to sell up if real turn up.

The REALITY is liverpool have become a club seen as at best a stepping stone and probably more like just one more mid table club. The best anyone says is we have history

That's the reality. When gotze looked at us and said yeah we will agree certain things he did so expecting us to be higher in table and in cl. Whether we take that as him being a merc or whatever the thing is most are the same.

We have been in and around the same slot or worse since rafa left. 7th. One season in 7? That's not enough.

So until the hubris is got rid of and we all knuckle down to the work required.. fsg included... well it's not going to change.

Coutinho got his deal off us now he's... Yeah what did you do for me lately... no gratitude in any of them.

Canos.. Oh I can get 10k... we offer 4k... then we wonder why???

The game is a total rat race run by agents for the benefit of agents and no agents with a top talent see lfc as a good destination action for their precious lambs so they?

Liverpool are interested in signing Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs, according to reports.
Football Insider claim Arsenal will listen to offers for the 26-year-old this summer after he lost his place in the team to Spain left-back Nacho Monreal.
Liverpool are preparing a summer bid for AZ forward Vincent Janssen – the top goalscorer in the Eredivisie – according to Spanish publication Don Balon

Liverpool are looking to sign a left-back as a replacement for Alberto Moreno.
The Reds are also monitoring Leicester teenager Ben Chilwell.

The issue with Coutinho is not consistency but competition. Look what the rise of Origi did to sturridge. What we need is a player to make him realize he needs to perform better or his place in the team is at risk.

I'd say the bigger problem is being shunted to the left so Firmino can play at No.10 when Studge or Origi are fit.

The rise of Origi didn't effect Sturridge at all. If anything it just made him look even more lazy and not suited to our style.

On Coutinho.

Klopp will know. 1) can he get better with the money being talked about...not even one direct replacement but build the team he wants.

2) If Coutinho wants to go then Klopp has made clear what he will do with that type of player.

End of day we've all talked about not being able to wait until Klopp puts his own team together...if Coutinho goes then like Rodgers you judge Klopp on what he does with the money.

That said...he's not Suarez on the pitch and as soon as he wanted out I said then **** away off then....it'll not break my heart of Coutinho goes because he hasn't done half what Suarez did.

Ah the 'Sturridge is lazy' argument.... he's been crippled with injuries and we expect him to run around like a 18 year old on his debut? He's our best player ffs... he covers enough ground. Lazy is far too strong a word.

Coutinho... love him and he's one of the most talented players we've had in the PL era. Would undoubtedly be better in a better team - better runners, more support behind him. We should obviously try and keep him.

If we sell it's £40m+... and really trust in Jurgen to replace him.

He can be replaced - he's not a Torres/Suarez/Gerrard level player.

Would be interesting to see (at least stat wise) how many games he's won us this season compared to much maligned James 'the worst footballer ever' Milner

I think Coutinho is a brilliant player in the one position he prefers, but move him out of that position and he loses a lot. He also did not turn up at all in our two biggest games last season, the two cup finals. If he wants out let him go, but for the right price. He will look a fantastic player at PSG as they have no competition in their league.

Agree on Sturridge - he gets called lazy because he simply doesn't press as much as someone like Suarez or Firmino, but we all know that guy is made out of glass and we want to push him harder. He's such a clever footballer on and off the ball. The amount of ground he covers per game is on par with the energetic Jamie Vardy.

It's one I catch myself on...usually in games we are losing...look my only real beef is his injury record...otherwise you want him on don't you?

Maybe people are thinking we could get very good money for him and then not only buy someone that will press but also someone that can play more than 37 minutes a season.

Oh, maybe that other guy would be a team player too, just maybe he'll smile and celebrate when a teammate scores rather than just his own goals.

For those saying coutinho has been unloyal. You guys must surely be joking. This is a guy who has been paid 30k for a good 2 seasons even when he was doing well and only 70k the past few seasons when hes been one of your best players and seeing the likes of hendo sturridge and milner getting paid a kings ransom.

Im surprised hes not made more of a fuss of being criminally underpaid and shunted into any old positions
