If we're really fixated on managers who play our preferred style/tactics, I cannot imagine Moyes being in the frame.
Someone on SW has just said that Saints are like a cow on steroids. Everyone keeps turning up and milking us to death, but we just come back bigger, better and with more milk. Like it.
And now Pellegrini being heavily linked? So says the Mirror. At least this is more fun than all the stories of people leaving.
Jurgen Klinsmann on that list sends a chill up my spine. I don't care if he's at long odds, make him go away spurious bet-placers!
That link is ****ed so here's a better one http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/southampton/next-permanent-manager
Don't want De Boer, he's nothing special IMO, but then again I'm not a fan of AVB either. Infact there's not one manager out there I'd say " yes I want him as saints next manager" apart from the obvious few, who we'd never be able to get. I'd be happy with Emerey out of the names mentioned though.
That's my point , there's not really a stand out candidate is there, well not one that jumps out at you.
What I really like is the fact we can go to the manager tree and pick a good one, rather than a bad one. It doesn't really matter if someone was good or bad before. It doesn't mean they'll be good or bad with us. I don't get people sometimes.
Reality check, really? Why would you be happy with Avb though? We want to progress to be like Chelsea and spurs, I know let's hire the manager they both sacked, great logic!
Koeman had failed at all but one club before we signed him up. Different environments suit different managers, same as players.
